Chapter 48- The Loss of a Loved One

Gabby's pov- I was going to take Jackson, Anna, and Juliet to see Mimi and Poppy since Poppy is in the hospital. Matt was at his construction job, so I thought this was the perfect time!
Once we got there, the kids ran to Mimi. Anna looked at me. "Mommy, Mimi is crying!" I went over to her. "What's going on?" "They're taking him off life support today. He's not going to ever get better. They said its for the best. I agreed." "Mimi, I'm so sorry. Should I call Matt?" She nodded yes.
"Matt?" "Yeah?" "You need to get down to Med now. They're taking Poppy off of life support today." "Okay. I'll be there soon." I could tell he was really upset. We all are.
Once he got there, they were going to begin.
We told Jackson to not let Anna or Juliet or himself in the room. I don't want them to see this.
Soon, it was over. I brought the kids back in to finish saying goodbye.
Mimi, Matt, and I were crying, so we figured the kids would be soon.
"Poppy, I know I'm not your biological grandson, but I love you. I'm really gonna miss you." Jackson kissed Poppy's cold forehead.
Next, it was Anna. "Hi Poppy, you're  in heaven now and I wanted to say I love you so much!" Jackson and Anna were now in tears which made it harder for the three of us.
Juliet didn't say goodbyes, but she kissed Poppy's head.
Now, we have to plan the funeral. Mimi is going to stay with us for a while. I can't believe Poppy is gone now.
