Lily's POV
"I wanna go home." Helene said.
"But you live in the same house as Louis." Gabe said.
"I know, but I just wanna be home, in my own bed." She explained.
I looked up at Gabe and saw the look in his eyes.
"We can leave tomorrow instead of Saturday." I suggested.
"No. I don't wanna ruin your guys' trip. I'd feel too horrible."
"Helene it's okay. There really isn't much to do now since we've been literally everywhere." Gabe said.
Helene nodded before looking up at me.
"I don't wanna go in my room and face Louis." She said.
"I can go." I said.
"Really?"
I nodded before pulling her into a hug.
"Thank you." She whispered.
I smiled before Gabe got up from the bed.
"Okay. I'll go look to see if there are any flights that are leaving for California tomorrow." Gabe said before kissing my nose.
When Gabe left the room, Helene fell back onto the bed.
"What wrong?"
"I wish I could have a relationship like yours and Gabe's. You two are so happy together and you're just perfect together." She explained.
"Helene everyone has their own different relationships. If everyone had exactly the same relationship, then that would be boring." I said with a small giggle.
She laughed a bit too before she sat up in bed.
"Are you still gonna be friends with me?"
"Of course. You are my best friend and I would never in a million years leave you." I said while shaking her by her shoulders.
She laughed before looking at me.
"Thank you."
"No problem." I said.
"It's just gonna be hard with Louis. Cause I've been friends with him since I met Gabe." I said.
"You do whatever. If you decide to still be friends with Louis, that is totally your choice and I won't stop you." Helene said.
I hugged her again before I took a deep breath.
"Wanna go get some coffee? Gabe makes some pretty good coffee."
Helene nodded in excitement before we walked out to the front room.
"Hey Gabe. Do you love me?"
"Why?"
"When your done looking for flights, will you make Helene and I some coffee please?" I asked before wrapping my arms around him from behind.
"Lucky for you I just found us a flight that leaves at 3 in the afternoon tomorrow. And yes I will make you some coffee." He said while jumping up from the chair.
I giggled before he walked over to the kitchen.
"Did we run out of the Carmel Apple creamer?" Gabe asked.
"NO!" I yelled.
"I'm just joking Lily." Gabe added with a laugh.
I rolled my eyes playfully before he started making the coffee.
"So when should I go get your stuff?" I asked.
"You could go now if you want."
I nodded before grabbing Helene's key and walking over to the room.
I opened the door and a pair of arms were wrapped around me.
"Uh Louis?"
"Oh crap. Sorry." He said.
I walked into the room and grabbed the rest of Helene's stuff.
"How's Helene doing?"
"Well she's still miserable." I said.
He sighed before I heard him sit on the bed.
"Gabe found a plane that leaves tomorrow. If you wanna come."
"Oh uh sure. Thanks."
I nodded before walking over to the door.
"Lily wait."
I turned around and saw Louis running towards me.
"I'm sorry."
"I'm not the one you should be apologizing to Louis." I snapped.
"I know. I know. I feel horrible."
"Then why did you do it?"
"I was drunk."
"Being drunk isn't an excuse Louis. The lady was blonde and Helene has brown curly hair."
"But I didn't mean it."
"You probably didn't mean it, but that doesn't change the fact that you did what you did." I said before leaving the room.
I walked into my room and set the stuff down on the counter.
"Coffee's ready!" Gabe exclaimed.
I smiled before he handed me the cup and I took a sip from it.
"Thank you." I said before pecking his lips.
"Anytime babe."
Next Day
Louis decided to take the next plane to California since Helene still can't stand being in the same room as him.
I feel bad.
Helene loves Louis. And Louis loves her. But he ruined it.
I guess Gabe saw that I was in deep thought cause he set his hand on my thigh and looked at me concerned.
"You okay?" He asked.
"Yeah," I sighed, "I still can't get over the fact the Louis did this to Helene. He was planning on-"
"Proposing." Gabe cut in.
I nodded before looking over at Helene. Luckily she had her headphones in and she was asleep so she couldn't hear us.
"It'll be okay. If anything we can have Helene stay at our place."
I nodded before biting my lip.
"They will need to talk eventually." I said quietly.
"Yeah. But you just need to give them time. I mean it happened almost three days ago."
I nodded again before resting my head on his shoulder.
I closed my eyes and remembered that one big fight Gabe and I had in high school.
"Remember when we got in that really big fight. And I had to go to my cousin's for like three weeks?" I asked.
"Yeah. That was one of the most stressful few weeks I've ever had." He chuckled.
I smiled before intwining our fingers together and I eventually fell asleep.
~
The screeching of the tires hitting the ground woke me up from my sleep and I wanted to bang my head on a wall.
"You're gonna have such bad jet lag." Gabe said.
I giggled before seeing Helene looking out the window as we reached our stop.
I set my hand on her shoulder and she turned around and smiled at me.
We didn't say anything, but we just kept smiling at each other.
I honestly hope she's okay
