Chapter 24

Gabe's POV

"You just need to give her more time."

"I've given her a month. That's not enough time?"

"Louis you cheated on her. That's the kind of thing that hard to forgive."

Louis rubbed his face in frustration before looking back up at me.

"But I already told Lily and you and that I was drunk that I was drunk."

"And we've both told that that isn't an excuse Louis. Helene is hurt and she needs as much time as she needs. And you need to give her the time." I said before walking out of his house and got in my car before driving to the hospital to meet Lily.

When I got there, I asked where Lily was and they let me know.

I walked into her room she saw her sitting on the bed.

"Hey." She said before I kissed her forehead.

"Has the doctor came in yet?"

She shook her head no before looking at her stomach.

"I have a question." She said.

"I have an answer." I said laughing a bit.

"When the times comes for us to find out the gender of the baby, do you wanna know or do you wanna wait?"

"It's up to you."

"But it's your child too Gabe."

I pondered for a bit before looking at her.

"Let's wait." I said smiling at her.

She smiled back before the doctor walked in.

"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Conte. I'm doctor Reeves and I'm gonna be your doctor for the next nine months." She said shaking both of our hands.

We both greeted her before we got started.

Lily lifted up her shirt and the doctor put the jelly on her stomach.

"It's so cold!" Lily exclaimed before giggling.

I laughed before looking at all of her features.

Her freckles, light brown hair, green eyes...

I was knocked back into reality when I felt Lily grab my hand and squeeze it.

I looked up at the monitor and saw just a little egg, I think.

"Okay. So the monitor shows that you are almost a month pregnant and I predict that the baby will be due around Janurary 13." The doctor explained.

Lily and I nodded before the doctor handed Lily a wet rag to wipe the gel off of her.

"Alright. Well I will see you guys in a month."  The doctor said before leaving the room.

I helped Lily up before she smiled at me.

"I'm worried about Helene." She blurted as we got in the car.

"Why?"

"She's acting like me when you and I took that three week long break. She's not doing well and she's not looking well either."

She did have a point. I mean she really is miserable without Louis. But Lpuis screwed her over.

I know Louis is my best friend, but he made a stupid decision and now he's paying the price.
