Chapter 27

(Okay guys. I'm gonna do something. And I am so so so so damn sorry I haven't dated in so long. School has been hell and I've been so busy with school and work and just ugh, but this chapter is gonna be the chapter everyone has been waiting for. Enjoy!)

Lily's POV

(A few months later)

"Lily. Thank you thank you thank you for forgiving me." Helene says.

"You're welcome. Just, please don't do that again. I don't want drugs in my house." I say.

"Understood." She smiles and hugs me.

"So. How many months?"

I look down and smile as my baby bump has gotten bigger, obviously.

"Six months. Almost seven." I sigh.

"You're so close! Do you know the gender?"

"Not yet. Gabe and I want it to be a surprise."

"Fun. I hope it's a girl. I want a niece so bad." She says excitement dripping from her mouth.

"I don't care what the gender is. I will love them no matter what. I will treat them better than my parents ever did. And that is a promise."

"That's so great Lily."

I smile before biting my lip.

"Gabe's gonna be a great dad." Helene sighs.

"Yeah. I'm so happy."

"Good. I mean after Gabe and I kissed, I can see that you two are still so strong." Helene says.

When she realizes what she said, it's already too late.

"W-What?" I say.

"Lily please. I'm so sorry."

I furrow my eyebrows and take a deep breath.

I grab my shoes and put them on, with a struggle, before grabbing my other stuff and leaving her house slamming the door in the process.

I storm through the front door and look around the house.

"Gabe!" I yell.

Of course he's not here!

I throw my phone to the floor and sit at the island.

No. Helene has to be lying. She's lying. I know she is.

I look around the house and feel like a foreigner.

All the memories Gabe and I made in the house, will end up hurting Leif he really did kiss her.

I decide to sit at the island until Gabe got home.

5 hours later

"Hey Gabe. It's Lily. Uhm, where are you? You've been gone pretty much all day. And we need to talk about something. Call me back please. Bye."

That's the fifth voicemail I've left him.

I start to feel tears run down my cheeks before I brush them away.

"No Lily. You're gonna be strong this time!" I say.

I go to the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror.

Gabe cheated on you with someone better than you.

I swallow the lump in my throat before biting my lip.

"You're stronger than this Lily." I whisper.
