"Hey Aly." Sophie greeted me as we meet up by the park the day after the dinner with Patrick at our house. "Kamusta ang dinner kagabe?"

I gave her a sad smile and a thumbs down and sighed. Pagkatapos ng nangyari kagabe ay nawalan na ako ng mood na magsalita. The news of Patrick going away drained all my energy. The thought of being away from him just sadden the hell out of me.

"Oh my...Alam mo na noh?" She asked as a matter of fact.

Malungkot na tumango lang ako at bumuntong hininga muli.

"Aly...." Umupo kaming dalawa sa may usual naming pwesto at hinawakan niya ang kamay ko. "Gago talaga si Kuya, sinabi ko na talaga sa kanya noong naging kayo na sabihin na niya agad sayo ang tungkol sa pag-alis niya, pero anong ginawa niya ha? Naghintay pa talaga siya kung saan deadline na niya bago pa niya sabihin sayo. Ay naku na lang talaga, what a way to drop the bomb Kuya."

I just smiled at her and squeezed her hand. Hindi na niya kailgang awayin pa si Patrick kasi wala din naman magagawa yon. What had been done was done already.

"Just let it be." I said in a timid voice. "Wala naman tayong magagawa."

"I wish I could though." Buntong hiningang sambit ni Sophie. "Kaya ba nagyaya ka ngayon na magkita tayo dahil sa balita? You want my moral support."

I shyly nodded. Sophie had been my best friend since high school, first year high school to be exact. So that's 10 years already. I always go to her when I am happy, sad, hurt and hungry. She is the best listener ever and she doesn't judge me of whatever stupid things I had done in my life so far.

"Alam mo naman na lagi lang akong nandito para sayo friend." Inakbayan ako ni Sophie. "At kung gusto mo na kidnappin natin si Kuya para hindi na siya makaalis pa ay go ako dyan!"

Napangiti at napailing na lang ako sa sinabi niya. "That would be selfish of me Sophie. Malungkot lang talaga ako dahil aalis na siya at naiinis dahil hindi niya agad sinabi sa akin. I'm not ready for this, I'm not ready to let go of him yet. I only spent a month with him and now he will be gone for three years! Akam mo naman na wala aking pag-asa sa long distance relationship diba? Tignan mo na lang ang nagyari sa amin ni Jaden, what if that will happen to me and Patrick too? I don't want to lose him Soph, he really mean the world to me."

"Haist Aly. Ang swerte talaga ni Kuya sayo." Sambit ni Sophie.

"Mas swerte ako sa kanya, sa totoo lang." Wika ko. "Patrick may come off as a strict brother to you because well that's what a big brother does. But he loves you Soph and just don't want you getting hurt or your heart be broken."

"Well, that's king of a noble thing to say for my brother's behalf Al or should I say sister in law." Malokong napangiti si Sophie at napailing na lang ako. "Alam ko naman yon pero minsan nakakainis talaga siya, masyado kasing OA. Anyhoo, I think I have an idea to fix the problem here."

Napataas ako ng kilay sa kanya. "At ano naman ang idea na yan?"

"It's a secret but you got to trust me on this." She winked.

"Sophie, ano ba talaga tong secret na to ha?" I impatiently asked her after two hours na pag-aayos niya sa akin. Pagkatapos kasi naming mag usap kanina sa park ay sinabihan niya akong umuwi ay maligo ulit tapos hintayin ko lang raw siya sa bahay. After jong maligo at dumating din agad siya at walang sabi sabing inayosan ako ng bonggang bongga.

She curled my shoulder length hair and put some nude make up on me. Tanong ako ng tanong sa kanya habang ginagawa iya to pero nakatikom lang talaga ang bibig niya at hindi ako sinasagot. She would only utter a word if she would give me instructions like "yumuko ka muna" o di kaya "pikit moa ng mata mo para sa eye shadow". And this really got me frustrated now that she is already done her "magic" on me but still haven't answer my question.
