***4 Months Pregnant***
As I entered my second trimester, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. Only five more months to go, and I would finally get to meet my little one. I was especially looking forward to feeling the baby kick, which I had heard would start happening in just a few weeks.Caden and I had grown even closer, and I had recently asked him to move in with me. I was thrilled when he agreed, and we spent our days lounging around, watching movies, and just enjoying each other's company.
One evening, as we were cuddled up on the couch, Caden asked me what I wanted to watch. I suggested a Disney movie, and he agreed. We settled on Tarzan, and as we watched, I couldn't help but feel grateful for Caden's presence in my life.
But as the movie ended, my mind began to wander to my parents. I still hadn't told them about my pregnancy, and I was dreading the conversation. I knew they would be shocked and possibly even disappointed, and I wasn't sure how to break the news to them.
Caden noticed my concern and asked me what was wrong. I explained my situation, and he offered to help me call my parents. But as I dialed the number, I froze. I couldn't bring myself to tell them the truth.
Caden took the phone from me and spoke to my parents, explaining the situation and reassuring them that I was okay. I was grateful for his support, but I knew I couldn't avoid the conversation forever.
As we hung up the phone, Caden pulled me into a hug. "They love you, Liz," he said. "They'll support you, no matter what."
I nodded, feeling a sense of comfort and reassurance. But as I looked at Caden, I couldn't help but wonder what my parents would think of him. Would they approve of our relationship, or would they be disappointed that I had moved on from Toby?
As I drifted off to sleep that night, I couldn't shake the feeling of uncertainty that lingered in my mind. But with Caden by my side, I knew I could face whatever challenges lay ahead.
The next morning, I woke up to a text from Toby. He asked how the baby was doing, and I filled him in on the latest developments. He offered to bring me some food, and I agreed.
As Toby arrived with lunch, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awkwardness. We chatted for a bit, and I filled him in on my conversation with my parents. He offered to call his own parents and let them know about the baby, and I agreed.
As Toby left, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. It was good to have closure with him, and I was grateful for his support.
Caden woke up soon after, and we spent the rest of the day lounging around and enjoying each other's company. As the sun began to set, I snuggled up close to Caden and felt a sense of peace wash over me. I knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, I had Caden by my side, and together, we could face anything.
