***5 Months Pregnant ***
As I entered my second trimester, I felt a mix of excitement and nervousness. Only five more months to go, and I would finally get to meet my little one. I was especially looking forward to feeling the baby kick, which I had heard would start happening soon.Caden and I had grown even closer, and I was grateful to have him by my side. My parents, on the other hand, were still unaware of my pregnancy. I had been dreading the conversation, but I knew it was time to tell them.
I picked up the phone and dialed my mom's number. She answered on the first ring, and I could hear the excitement in her voice. "Hey sweetie! I didn't expect you to be up."
"I couldn't sleep," I replied, trying to sound casual.
My mom chatted on for a bit, and then she dropped the bombshell: "We should be there sometime soon." My heart skipped a beat as I realized they were coming to visit today.
I tried to play it cool, but I could feel my anxiety spiking. Caden noticed my distress and offered to help me calm down. I took a deep breath and tried to focus on the present moment.
When my parents arrived, I was nervous but also excited to see them. We chatted for a bit, and then I dropped the news: "I'm pregnant." My mom's face went white, and my dad looked stunned.
But to my surprise, they were supportive and loving. They asked me questions and listened intently as I shared my feelings and experiences. It was a huge weight off my shoulders to finally have their support.
As the day went on, we received an unexpected visit from a neighbor named Blake. He was charming and friendly, and Caden and I agreed to help him with a plumbing issue at his house.
As we walked to Blake's house, I couldn't help but notice the way he looked at me. It was a mix of curiosity and admiration, and I felt a flutter in my chest.
But I quickly pushed the feeling aside, reminding myself that I was in a committed relationship with Caden. We helped Blake with his plumbing issue, and then we headed back home.
The next week, I had a doctor's appointment to find out the sex of the baby. Toby, Caden, and I all went together, and we were all excited to find out whether we were having a boy or a girl.
As we waited for the doctor to arrive, Toby asked me if I thought the baby would be a boy or a girl. I said girl, and Caden agreed with me. Toby thought it would be a boy, but he was happy to be wrong.
When the doctor finally arrived, she did an ultrasound and revealed that we were having a baby girl. I was overjoyed, and Caden and Toby were both thrilled.
We took some pictures and planned to share the news with our families and friends the following week. I was excited to start this new chapter in my life, and I was grateful to have Caden and Toby by my side.
As we left the doctor's office, I felt a sense of peace and contentment. I knew that I still had a lot to learn and experience, but I was ready for whatever came next.
