"I'm pregnant? You're sure?"

"I'm fairly certain. Would you like to take a test?"

"Yes, please."

"I guess it's a good thing that I have one of those lying around, huh?" She smiled and laughed.

I returned the smile. When she left the room I sighed heavily. 'Sure, I wanted another child after Jay, but on my own time. Two kids... How am I going to do this?  I'm only 28 and I've already got two kids..I'm getting worked up over nothing, I'm probably not even pregnant.' I thought.

Dr. Smith walked in, interrupting my thoughts. "Hello again."

"Hi."

"Here's the test." She said as she handed me the test.

"Thanks." I said before getting up and going to the bathroom.

I took the test and waited for about 3 minutes before I checked the results.

Positive..

"I can't believe this!" I sighed and placed my hand over my forehead and closed my eyes.

'I'll deal with this. I can do this.' I thought before I removed my hand from my forehead and opened my eyes again.

I picked up the test and walked back to Dr. Smith.

"Positive." I said as I looked down at the tiny pregnancy test in my hands.

"Congratulations!" She said happily.

I laughed and smiled. "Thank you."

"You can go on home. Thanks for visiting." She smiled.

"Thank you again, Dr. Smith." I smiled and walked out of the office. I put the pregnancy test in my purse.

I drove over to Lydia's house to pick up Jay. I knocked on the door and shortly Lydia came to answer it.

"How'd it go, Liz?" She asked as she moved out of my way and let me in.

I sighed. "Can you keep this between me and you if I tell you?"

"Of course. The kids are upstairs playing, so they won't hear you."

"Okay." I took in a deep breath, "Lately, I've been feeling sick and I've been getting bigger and bigger."

Lydia's face lit up. "No way!"

I smiled. "I'm pregnant."

"Oh, my God! I'm so happy for you, Liz!" She squealed before pulling me into a hug.

I laughed.

"When do you think you'll tell Caden?"

"I don't know. He's been helping Sadie prepare for her baby which is stressing him out. I just don't want to add too much stress to him."

"Yeah, I get that."

"What do you think?"

"I don't know. I would probably tell him before Sadie had her baby because if you told him after, he would be too busy taking care of the baby."

"Wouldn't Sadie's husband help her with that?"

"He doesn't exactly seem...father material to me." Lydia answered honestly.

Lydia was right, he really wasn't father material at all. Poor Sadie..

"This is true."

"But I think that you should tell him when you get a chance."
