Chapter 17

Smiling as I woke, I knew I could get used to the feeling of waking up next to Ben each morning. His grip tightened around me, letting my know that he was waking up too. Gently kissing his neck I slipped out from the bed and into the bathroom, planning to take a shower before we went for breakfast.

Stripping from my pyjamas I stepped into the stone tiled shower and turned it on. The head was powerful and instantly the hot water engulfed me. The soothing stream of water relaxed me as I stood under its spray.

The warm water continued to run down my body as I ran my hands through my hair, washing away the shampoo. The almost silent click of the shower door made me freeze, my hands still tangled in my knotted hair. Squealing I spun round when two arms wrapped around my waist. "Hey," a familiar voice whispered. Grinning I turned in his arms to be met by those blue eyes I loved so much.

"What you doing here, I thought we'd agreed...." I trailed off. Did he want to break the rule of only kissing until I left school? We had both agreed to go no further than kissing, it didn't feel right and I knew it would make Ben uncomfortable. I didn't want him to get carried away while we are on holiday but regret it later.

Nodding he said, "I know," before crashing his lips onto mine. My body melted against his as he pressed me against the side of the glass shower. His hands tangled in my hair washing away the rest of the shampoo.

After we'd finished washing my hair Ben quickly washed his own before we got out and get dressed for the day. "The two of you done in there because everyone is kinda waiting for you," Laura awkwardly called from outside the bathroom door. I felt my cheeks darken although she couldn't see them as I quickly slipped on my t-shirt and left the bathroom, Ben chuckling behind me.

"Have fun?" Laura laughed as she led us out the room where everyone else was already waiting. My cheeks darkened further as everyone's gaze turned to Ben and I. Burying my face in his chest he continued to laugh as he led the two of us down the corridor and towards the elevator.

We all scoffed breakfast down, every one excited for the water park which we would be spending the day at. Less than an hour later two taxis dropped us off at the water park. Walking under the big sign, I gazed up at the rides which surrounded us.

The park was already busy even though it wasn't ten o'clock yet. Kids squealed as they dragged their parents around. Teenagers lingered in large groups under the shade of the palm trees. Screams emerged from the more exciting rides, and chatter surrounded us as we ambled through the park.

Jane and Bob set up at a small cafe located in the centre of the park where we left all our stuff too. Excitedly we headed off to the biggest ride, the vertical drop slide. Grinning I gripped Ben's hand as we joined the queue. It was still early in the day so the queue wasn't too long and before we knew it, it was our turn. Matt went first, followed by Georgia, then Laura, and then me. Gulping, slightly nervous now, I sat down at the top. Crossing my ankles and arms I waited for the light to change to green before I slid over the edge.

The slide disappeared beneath me as I dropped over the edge. My eyes slammed shut as the falling sensation over took me and and I couldn't stop the scream which escaped my mouth. However, only a few seconds later I felt the slide beneath me once again and water hit my body as I splashed into the pool at the end. Slightly disorientated, I looked about searching for the others who were already standing by the edge of the pool. Joining them, I turned back around and waited for Ben to come down next.

The next person slipped over the edge emitting the girliest scream I had ever heard. The three of us laughed, expecting Ben to emerge from the pool next. However, instead a girl around the same age as me, looking a little pale, clambered out the water.

After a couple of minutes Ben appeared from the building, still completely dry. I couldn't help the smirk that crosse my face when my eyes reached his.

"Someone a little scared of heights?" Laura teased when he was in hearing distance. Ben's face burned red as he tried to quieten his sister.

"Oh come on guys, leave him alone," I finally said coming to his rescue. "He can't help that he's such a pussy," I added with a laugh which earned me a punch on the shoulder. With another laugh I grabbed his hand and pulled him off in the other direction.

Ben and I headed off towards the lazy river, where you just floated along a river in rubber rings. The others decided to go on something a little more exciting.

Grabbing a ring for two we hopped in before the current of the river started to pull us along. Gripping onto my hand Ben grinned before kissing the tip of my nose. "I love you," he smiled. I don't think I would ever get used to hearing those words come from his lips.

"I love you too," I replied as I sat back in my section of the ring. The sun shone down on us as we floated around the river. The cold water, cooling us down from the heat of the day.

After the lazy river we went on a couple of other rides before we headed back to where Jane and Bob were waiting. Collapsing down into two chairs across from Ben's parents I smiled at them. "How was it kids?" Jane asked as she put her book down on the wooden table in front of us.

"Great," Ben grinned as he turned to me, his arm moving to the back of my chair. Dragging my eyes away from his I nodded my head in agreement. Jane was staring at us with a grin plastered on her face like she thought we were the cutest thing in the world.

"Where are the others then?" Bob asked finally joining the conversation.

"Funny story," I smirked as I looked back towards Ben. His cheeks flushed slight before be pressed his hand over my mouth.

"Which the two of you will not be hearing," Ben stated before glaring at me, but I could see the amusement clear in his eyes. Smiling behind his hand I licked his fingers causing him to whip his hand away from my mouth. However, his shocked expression soon turned to a smirk as wiped his hand against my face. Jumping back I couldn't help but laugh as I shoved him playfully.

Soon the others arrived and we ate lunch before spending the rest of the afternoon at the water park. Ben managed a few of the 'scarier' rides this time so we stuck with the others.

By the end of the day I was exhausted. Ben wrapped his arm around my half asleep body as we walked towards the taxis parked outside the park.

Soon we were back in our rooms and I instantly collapsed onto the bed. Just before I fell asleep I felt the bed dip as Ben laid down next to me and his arm lay loosely across me.

AN: So here's some more Jen and Ben fluff for you guys. Sorry the past three chapters have been so short, those were the three that got deleted and I really struggled to write them again. Normal chapter length should return next chapter.
