Storybrooke
Present Day

"Penny for your thought?"

Blue eyes darted away from the blurry black and white print out as Elsa looked up to see the Sheriff standing by the couch she was sitting on. "It's nothing."

"Nothing huh?" Emma said as she sat down, claiming the empty spot on the couch, tucking her legs under herself just as her friend did. "I don't even need my superpower to know that you're lying."

Elsa's brows furrowed as she looked at the Savior before a sigh escaped her lips, eyes closing for a moment before they were back opened. "I just... I know I might sound silly after how I acted around Hans but... Somehow, deep inside me, I can see that he wasn't lying. I just can't believe it, even if it came from my own self."

"Do you think Hans can be redeemed?" Emma asked as she leaned against the back of the couch. "Is he worthy?"

The Ice Queen was silent for a few moments as she thought about the question over and over in her head. Was he worth to be granted forgiveness after all he have done? He hurted her sister by breaking her heart, attempted to beheaded her, and taking over her kingdom by dumping her sister and brother in-law into the depth of the ocean. It was an instant no, of course. But she has seen, in his eyes, the sincere care that he has for her. She has hid behind masks to know when one was lying.

"I don't know."

"What about him being the Father of your child?" The Savior questioned some more as she raised one of her eyebrows. "Do you think that's possible?"

"Technically it is possible; but very, /very/ unlikely, one in a million." Elsa stated, wondering as to why her friend would ask such questions considering the fact that she knew how she felt toward the man. "Why are you asking these questions to me?"

At this, Emma shrugged her shoulders. "Because I don't know who to believe. You, as my friend, is of course my priority, Elsa. But my superpower is telling me that Hans isn't lying either."

"So you believe in him?" The platinum blonde haired Queen asked. "Perhaps that power of yours is losing it's ability."

"Hey, don't put the blame on that." The daughter of Snow White said as she raised both of her hands. "I'm being serious here. I believe in you, Elsa, I really do. But someone has tampered with your memories while Hans' is still pretty much intact. Look, love works on a funny way, sometimes even against all odds. I'm not saying that I'm certain about it, but maybe you should give him a chance to speak, to really listen to his explanation."

A chance... A second chance.

Her Mother had always told her that everyone deserved a second chance, Anna has given her one when she forgave her for what she has done before and after the Eternal Winter, a chance that she did not think she deserved. Perhaps she should try to do what her sister did, even when this person was Hans.

"I will try. But there is no promises that I would like it."
