Arendelle
Five Years Ago

"Hans is here?!"

"Yes."

"In this very kingdom?! In the same castle as we are?!"

"Yes and yes."

"And you let this all happened, Elsa?!"

"Do I look like I have a choice, Anna?" The Queen questioned back as she stopped her pacing, head turned to look at her younger sister who was sitting on her bed. "He was already waiting for me in the Throne Room, bringing news of a possible war threat."

"And you believe him?!" The strawberry blonde haired Princess threw her hands up in the air to dramatize her words. "He's Hans, Elsa! Hans! The Hans that has left me to die and try to slice your head off to take over Arendelle! The same Hans that has locked me and Kristoff in a chest and drowned us in the middle of the sea! Do you really think that he can be trusted?"

Elsa's brows furrowed as her sister rambled on about the man that they both had a very bad past with. "I know who he is, what he has done. But as Queen, I could not just brush away a warning of a threat to my kingdom."

"But what if he's working with his brothers like before and warning you is just part of his plan?"

"That is why I have him imprisoned in the dungeon under a strict watch by our trusted guards." The platinum blonde haired Queen said as she took a seat beside her sister. "Besides, he told me that he didn't want to leave and return back to the Southern Isles."

The Princess pursed her lips as she dropped herself onto the Queen's soft and wide bed. "I don't trust him, Elsa."

"And I don't either."

~~~
"Why?"
"You need to be more specific than that, Your Majesty." The auburn haired man said as he leaned back against the wall behind him, sitting on the hard bed in the dungeon.
"Why did you even bother coming all the way to Arendelle to warn me instead of just stand back and watch my kingdom suffer? As I recall, you would enjoy the latter more."
Hans let out a small scoff, and even though the Queen caught it she has chosen to ignore it. "I've told you this before, but I will tell you again in case you did not pay attention to me the first time, as much as I despise you, Queen Elsa of Arendelle, I hated my brothers even more."
"So the Prince's anger toward his brothers is the only reason my kingdom received a warning then?" The Queen said as she stood tall in front of him. "How immature."
"You should be thanking me for you would not see it coming, the surprise attack." He retorted back, "They wouldn't even bother making a declaration first."
"I thanked Odin that I have not yet lost control of my anger and turn you into an ice sculpture."
"Like that woman, that aunt of yours, did back at that cave?"
The dungeon was cold and dark, yet the irritation that Elsa felt toward the man before her managed to drop the temperature until mist came up as they breathed. "Don't tempt me."
"Actually, if I had to choose between being turned into ice by you or sent back to the Southern Isles, could I request the pose that I want to be in before I got turned into ice statue?" Hans asked, "The previous one was not so desirable to look at."
Her brows furrowed at his odd request and how he seemed to have no care of what he has just said. "I'm sure your family couldn't be that bad."
"Easy for you to say, Queenie." He said as he leaned foward, "Your sister cares for you so much even when you have ignored her for thirteen years."
"It was for her own safety."
"And that's my point." The Prince exclaimed. "You and Anna care for each other so much, there is a huge possibility that you will even die for her and the other way around. But you can't just compare that bond with what I have with my brothers, there is a huge difference there. Wake up and face the reality, Queen Elsa, the world outside your kingdom might not be as happy as you thought it would be."
The platinum blonde haired Queen's jaws stiffened as she stared down at the Prince, a thick silence hung in the air between them as neither spoken another word, Hans has delivered whatever it was in his mind and Elsa found herself a little lost at words.
"How did you manage to come here?" She finally spoke, shifting their conversation into another direction. "I did not receive any report regarding the crew of your ship nor any delivery from the Southern Isles."
"That is because I did not bring any nor that I sneak in between goods for trade." The auburn haired man said. "I sailed here by myself, departing in the early hour of the day so my brothers will not catch me."
"You sailed here all by yourself?" Elsa repeated, and though her tone did not bear any emotion, she was in disbelief inside. A ship has sailed and docked in her kingdom, managed by a mere lone man. "Are you in the Navy?"
"Admiral Prince Hans Westerguard of the Southern Isles," the man said as he stood up and gave her a bow. As his back straightened up, he flashed her a half smile. "At your service, ma'am."
Hans was an Admiral, that was something she was not aware of. She wondered if there was anything else she did not know about this man before her, perhaps a plenty more. But if he has indeed did what he did, and with his rank, he may as well served her more than she intended him to.
"Guards." She called without turning her head away from the Prince. The sounds of footsteps halting just by the door was enough of a sign that her call has been heard. "Unchain the prisoner and have some servants clean him up. I will be expecting him up in my study."
"Yes, Your Majesty."
