Storybrooke
Present Day"Stay here."
Looking up at him after he had squeezed her hand reassuringly, the other hand firmly gripping onto his sword, there was a wind of calmness that washed over her, though unable to completely erase her panic. "I'm not going anywhere."
The tightening of her muscles at the lower part of stomach distracted her eyes from the fight before her, fingers curled around the sheet as she tried to breathe.
Scooting away from the wet spot on the bed, the clear liquid obviously did not come from her bladder as much as she somewhat wished it was, she tried to remain calm by taking deep breaths.
Which was ultimately ruined when another contraction prompted a whimper from her.
She had known for hours, had endured through the discomfort, even attempting to sleep it off. Because there was a part of her that truly could not believe that she was about to give birth, a part of her mind still think that there are still a couple of months to go for her to prepare.
But her water breaking was a clear sign that, whether she liked it or not, she was having her baby, sooner than she would like.
With her water now out and about, the contraction has increased in both level of pain and how often they come.
Attempting to muffle her groan, and to have something, anything, for her to drive her pain somewhere else, Elsa took a pillow, sinking both her nails and teeth onto the soft material.
It was not a time for her to put up a regal display."Your wife is suffering, Hans." She managed to hear from across the room, how Franz taunted his brother, and frost appeared under her fingers.
She slipped down onto the floor, though even she was unsure how she did, kneeling by the bed and let her body rocked itself as she went through another contraction, face buried onto the mattress. "Oh God..."
Elsa wasn't even sure how Hans was holding up, how close he was to either defeating his brother or the other way around, the thought sending a shudder down her spine, though not for long because her focus was on herself.
No matter how selfish it may sound, she just couldn't tear her attention away from the pain that demanded that every fiber of her body to bear through it.
There was a crash, a flash of light, a loud thud, and still she kept her face buried on the bed, the contraction was now one over another that she barely got any chance, a break, to breathe.
"Elsa!" That was Emma's voice, she could tell even when it felt as if it sounded so far away. Hands held her by the shoulders, helping her to get herself away from the bed, and she found Emma, along with Hans and Regina, has stood over her. "We need to get her to the Hospital."
Her head shook almost instantly, hand coming up to grab Hans', with alarmed look on her face. "No."
"Elsa-"
"After what happened, I think she has some trust issues with Hospitals. I don't think she could even get there on time." Regina voiced what she had been thinking. She would not give birth at the place where she had gotten her pregnancy sped up. "Just get her on the bed, for God's sake, she looks awful."
Strong arms wrapped around her, Hans' secure and warm arms, and lifted her back onto the bed, her back supported by stacked up pillows. Grasping the front of Hans' shirt, she silently urged him to stay by her side.
"I'm not going anywhere." He promised, brushing stray blonde strands away from her forehead before looking up to the other women in the room. "You can deliver babies?"
"I was the evil Queen, do you think delivering babies is what I do for fun?" Regina still managed the perfect tone of sarcasm as she rolled her eyes at the Prince. "I'll get someone who can."
The Mayor disappeared in a puff of black smoke, only to reappear again with the confused Mother Superior in tow. The nun was quick to react after seeing the Ice Queen in pain though, coming toward the bed to assist the best she could.
"You need to clear the area." She ordered Hans, looking straight into his eyes after she had ordered Emma and Regina to grab what would be needed for the birth. When he moved to protest, she halted him. "She's gonna be alright, but you have to make sure your brothers wouldn't come back."
"Hans..." She looked so helpless, so tired already that he really did not have the heart to let go off her hand, but if his brothers came back, he would not be able to forgive himself for it.
"The sooner you go, the sooner you can get back."
Bringing her hand to his mouth, he pressed a kiss on her knuckles, eyes never breaking from her blue ones. "I will be back, after sorting this mess, I promise you."
