~Elsa~
"Oh wow, Frost. You really got the Jelsa fever, didn't you?"
"I don't even know what that is! And she had nightmares, Eugene, back off!"
"I think it's adorable."
My eyelids opened, and I was struck with the captivating pupils of Jack Frost. "..Hi."
"Hello." I sat up, and my cheeks automatically flared a scarlet red. I had slept on Jack's shoulder the whole night. There was an indent in my hair to prove it. Rapunzel was leaning over the couch with a pleased look, while Eugene stumbled around in a night cap and a cup of steaming coffee. My eyes narrowed. "Eugene...what's wrong with you? After your thief career, I thought 'rise and shine' was your motto."
"Oh, it still is," Rapunzel nodded and shot him a disapproving glance, "but he might've had some of my chocolate last night...and went totally bonkers on a sugar high."
Eugene looked over, deep shadows under his eyes and coffee mug trembling. "I would protest, but I haven't had enough caffeine yet."
I groaned and reluctantly moved from my spot on the couch. "Rapunzel...I need to ask for a favor."
"Anything! If you need money, chocolate–"
"Hey!"
"Don't get cocky, it's not for sale! Only for family! Also I have paintings, a chameleon, and I do candlemaking."
My eyes widened at the list, "That's...nifty..but I was actually wondering if you could heal my hand," I offered her my bandaged wrist. She took it and began to unwrap the gauze. "Wait–can..you leave it on?" She gave me a puzzled look, but shrugged and did as I requested. She covered it with a strand of her hair as she murmured a melodic tune under her breath. The top of her head glowed a golden yellow like sunshine as her pale lips moved and sang words I couldn't hear or understand. The enchanting gleam followed every tendril of her hair, following the blonde and leaving it bright and radiant. When it reached my hand, I jumped as my skin tingled and became lukewarm like it was bathed in the heat of a powerful lamp. Rapunzel closed her mouth, and the light retreated back to the roots of her hair. During its descent back, Eugene pressed his hand against her hair and jerked back as if shocked with electricity. "Goodbye cappuccinos and hello white shiny teeth!" Eugene's draught was forgotten, and he ran around the living room as energetic as ever.
Rapunzel rolled her eyes and smirked at her husband before retrieving her hair. When she did, I finally undid the bandages. "I thought you said you wanted it to stay on," Punzie replied.
"Well, I did a number on my hand and it really looked terrible. There's no way I want you risking looking at that and ruining your morning," I remarked and pulled the last of the plaster off.
My skin was a blank canvas, pale as cream, soft as snow. "Wow, you and M.K. both are blowing my mind with this whole 'healing power' thing. It's amazing," I flexed my wrist and smiled at the absence of pain and little effort. "Well, you know, it's our thing. I'm glad you feel better," We both had a private moment of smiles before a range of squealing started from behind.
"Mavis!" I shouted and ran to her. The sun was out. She skipped right passed the closed shutters of a window as I halted her. "What do you think you're doing? It's daylight, Mavis! You have to be careful!"
"I know Queenie, I know, I know! But I have great news!" Her coal-black lips parted with a grin.
What would be so amazing that Mavis would risk herself to the possibility of burns? I held her by the shoulders as she jumped on the soles of her feet. "And..that would be?" I asked as she was barely controlling her untamed excitement. She quickly turned into a bat and flew around the room twice before plopping back on the ground beside me. "Okay okay...Johnny's coming to live with us here!"
