~Jack~
I swallowed as eight vampires studied me on separate thrones of jewels and frost while Elsa cleared her throat. "Thank you, Mistress Clara. This conference in the capital of the Refuge from Light, located in Bavaria, the Eastern Alps, has now started. We will first discuss our newcomer," Elsa gave me a reassuring glance as I stood in front of the nine faces, frowning my frosted hoodie and staff as my attire. I cleared my throat as my legs slightly trembled, and I wondered if my bare feet would slip on the frozen floor of icicles.
"So, um, I'm Jack Frost. Three hundred years old...and currently um....married...to Queen Elsa." The woman with red curls gasped and stood, outraged. "He is not documented in the archives! He cannot leave this place!" Everyone flinched at her shouts except Dinu, who was still seated next to her with a bored expression. "I documented him before the meeting Dorina, so shut up and sit down." Lady Dorina's head slowly turned to him, her face masked with a scarlet flush of arrogance and untamed fury. "Excuse me?" She flexed her wrists, which slowly had a crimson glow similar to her eyes as Elsa squared her shoulders. "Enough! Lady Dorina! Please sit down," Lady Dorina cast her a look of ferocity before settling back down into her emerald pillows and quilts. The little girl next to Mavis shook as she clamped her hands over her ears. "Lavinia?" Elsa glanced at the quivering teenager. The man next to Lord Cezar sighed, aggravated, and turned to Elsa. "Forget it. She is nothing but a hummingbird, vibrating with the ultimate fear of outbursts and–"
"General Costel! Not here." I swallowed as the girl hunched in her chair, now unmoving. Mavis casted a weary glance at Lavinia, but knew better than to interfere. "Let her throb like the beating hearts we used to have," Lady Dorina's eyes scoured the crowd, "this is torture, a lifetime of misery and forever hungry. And worse, a harmful ray of sunshine in a cave of darkness." Her pupils flitted to Elsa, whose expression now grew stern. "Mistress Clara, what has happened in the last few weeks?" Elsa asked quietly.
"Twenty-two vampires have been born and identified, zero escaped residents of the Refuge of Light and no created vampires." She said it robotically, sitting up straight in her mess of violet cushions and pupils dilating.
"Count Dracula, how are the defenses?"
"One-hundred percent, my dear queen. Mother Nature has not attacked the fortress except for outside my home in Transylvania."
"And the scrolls, Dinu?"
"All sealed, where they should be."
"Fine...I would like to make a claim," Elsa protested, and stood from her icy throne. All eyes were on her as she slightly trembled. "I have been queen for one-hundred and seventy-three years. In acknowledgement of my marriage, I would like to step down so my husband, Jack Frost, will take my place on the throne." Shouts arose, and wicked insults were thrown. Mavis and Dracula bowed their heads in grief as Mistress Clara's shoulders shook. Dinu and Lady Dorina argued with cursing and grim outrage. General Costel and Lord Cezar just shot smirks at each other.
Elsa lead me by the arm, and personally sat me in her throne of ice. She smiled down at me, a sour, guilt-filled smile with silent tears flooding her eyes. "You're my king now, Jack." She whispered, and her gaze drifted to the floor. "But you'll always be my queen." I entwined my fingers with hers as a cloak of ice encased my shoulders, and every member of the vampire council turned to me and bowed.

A/N: Hey guys! We're really really close to the ending here (Cliffhangers galore), and not just of the story but of school! This upcoming week is my last of eighth grade, and summer finally comes (Cue Olaf singing here)! My parents are dragging me somewhere during June, but I'll try to keep updating regularly. Also...high school :O it really sounds scary, especially when I only know like three people there, so I may take a few trips there over the summer to get to know people and kiss up to staff members.
See you next week, be happy, be awesome :)
