Damian Wayne felt a thud push him of off his feet but luckily he caught himself in time. He looked up to see a jock in Tim's year. A tenth grader who was four years higher than him. The boy smirked and pushed Damian. Damian stumbled back but didn't fall. The boy and his Neanderthal friends were laughing. They were known as the 'coolest' kids in school.

Damian's first instinct was to knock some sense into the jerk but he held back. His father had warned him not to fight no matter what. Damian didn't want to displease his father or have his identity revealed so he took a punch to the gut. The wind knocked out of him and he hurled over in pain. The boy dug his meaty fist into Damian's back which caused him to fall over. By this time the entire playground had gathered and cheered "fight!" With much enthusiasm and joy.

Damian's eye began to swell and his lip busted. Suddenly Tim fought his way through the huge crowd to see what was happening. When he saw Damian anger boiled over and he marched up to the jock. The boy was about to take another swing at Damian when he caught Tim in his vision.
"Leave him be, Jeared"
The boy, who's name was now known laughed.
"What's it to you?"
Tim calmly stated.
"He's my brother. So I suggest you leave him be. Now."
"Or what? You'll tell on me?"
He mocked and laughter rang from the crowd.
Jared lifted his fist and was about to make contact with Damian when a hard fist connected to his jaw. A loud cracking sound echoed out and Jared let out a Yelp. Tim stood, fist still clenched and body still stiff. He glared at him with so much hatred it gave him shivers. Who knew little Nerdy Tim was capable of breaking a jaw?

But that wasn't the last hit as Tim kicked the jock causing him to fall onto the ground. Tim approached him as he shivered with fear. "P-please, just leave me be!" Tim walked over and helped Damian to his feet. The crowd stared in stunned silence. No one thought Tim was capable of that. Even Tim was bullied and he never fought back. Damian and Tim began to walk away when Tim stopped in his tracks and whispered loud enough for everyone to hear.
"Touch My little brother and you won't have a limb left"

That's why Bruce was sitting in the principle's office listening to a hysteric mother yell on about his kids being the devil and spoilt brats.
"You can say whatever you like Miss Johnson but you can't deny that young Jared started the fight"
The woman glared at the principal.
"I see how it is. He's paying you. Well I'll make sure you're fired for this!"
Bruce stood up, having enough of the woman's blabbering.
"My children have perfect records in school. Yours on the other hand is in a different fight every day. Maybe you should focus more on teaching your kid not to bully someone else instead of sobbing and blaming other people"
And with that Bruce left. Normally Bruce Wayne was kind and respectable of others but this was too far. Seeing his son looking like a bunching bag was bad enough when an evil madman did it but a little punk? No.

Damian wouldn't admit it but after that he stopped hating Tim. Damian and Tim grew closer because of this little incident and Damian was glad it had happened.
