Damian stood in the graveyard and watched as the box with his wife and daughter's remains were lowered into the ground. All of Iris' family were here and Damian's. A lot of super heroes came to show their respect and every time someone would give Damian their condolences he would just turn away. He had watched as people sobbed and his tired eyes watched it go deeper into the darkness.

"Iris West and Martha. A West Wayne were both amazing, strong people"
Damian zoned out. It was his fault his young wife was dead and his seven year old daughter. He'd never hear Irey mumble in her sleep or listen to her complain about always being hungry. How she always so impatient and wanted to get things over with fast. How when he first met her he hated her guts then he had a crush on her. When they had finally gotten together Damian couldn't be happier.

The there was Marty. He'd only known her for seven years. How she reminded him so much of himself and Irey. How she would cuddle in with her parents in the morning. How she found it hard to pronounce words. How his heart swelled when she wore the Robin costume or when she would wear her hair in pigtails and it reminded him so much of Irey. Damian would never see her little face again. Her little drawings she did of him or how she would speed around the house in a race with her mother. It was his fault.

Dick walked up to him and put a hand on his shoulder. Even Bruce gave him a hug but he didn't care.
"I'm sorry Damian"
"Stop saying that!"
He growled.
"I don't deserve sympathy and I don't deserve to be forgiven"
"It wasn't your fault"
Tim stated as he, Stephanie, Cass, Jason, Wally, Linda, Jai, Bart, Lian and Bruce walked up to them.
"Bullshit"
"Damian you didn't know"
"I should have stayed with them"
"Irey can take care of herself!"
"But she couldn't protect our daughter and that made her weak. I should have died. They should be here watching me go six feet under"
"Damian don't say that"
"Just get out of here. All of you"
And there Damian was alone staring at the grave.
