Damian had been out fighting joker and come home with more than a few bruises. He limped into the Bat cave and smiled when he saw Irey waiting. She was holding Marty. Irey's smile turned to a frown. Gently putting Marty on the floor knowing she would be safe (after all she was only two months and was able to crawl) she quickly walked over to her husband and helped him over to one of the sick beds.
"Dami, you're being too hard on yourself"
"That clown is still out there. I have to be hard on myself"
Irey sped over to a first aid kit and began to look through it. Damian smiled down at his daughter who was still sitting where Irey had left her.
"Hi Marty"
He cooed. Giggling the little girl put her hands down on the floor, pushed herself up and began to take her first steps. Damian gasped and Irey spun round on her heel and froze. Martha made her way over and Damian got down off the bed and went down on two knees, arms stretched out wide.
Martha hugged Damian and Irey cried tears of joy. This was one of the greatest moments of Damian's life.
