Damian had been traveling for five months now. He's been to England, Scotland, Germany, Italy and Rome. He was continuing to travel and tried to come to terms with who he now was and who he wanted to be. He hadn't been in contact with his family since he left nor has he touched a Bat costume but he has saved a few people but he mostly kept a low profile.

He was now in France. In a bar sitting on a stool and taking a drink. He didn't drink. He didn't like to drink and he was doing so well but sometimes his depression got the better of him and he couldn't do anything. Couldn't feel anything. A beautiful woman approached him. She had long red hair and was dressed in a black cocktail dress. She sat beside him and gently touched his shoulder. He looked at her.
"What's a handsome man such as yourself doing on you're own?"
She gives him a flirty wink but he doesn't change his emotionless expression.
"Not interested"
She just pushes her hair back and laughs.
"I see you have a ring on your finger"
Damian looked down and saw his wedding ring that he refused to take off.
"But I'm sure your wife isn't around anymore"
Damian's head snapped up as he stared at the woman before glaring at her.
"That's none of your business"
"I believe it is.- she leaned in and whispered in his ear- Irey told me so"
Damian jumped and he looked at the woman. He looked around and although the bar was crowded he'd never felt more alone.

Damian quickly moved out of his seat, muttering under his breath about needing air. His skin was hot but he was internally cold. His head hurt and his whole body was shaking. He couldn't see out of his eyes as he crawled out of the bar and into the alleyway. He fell up against a dumpster and a man approached him but all Damian could see was a blur of skin and cloth.
"Give me your wallet- Damian couldn't answer-I said give me your wallet dammit!"
Damian's ears rang out at a gun shot and he felt a sting of pain. He could handle it after all he was trained by the league of assassins. He felt a warm hand go through his pockets then leave, Damian just sat there in the alley bleeding out and not caring that he's dying.

"Damian! Damian!"
Damian opened his eyes to see Irey in his bed. She looked concerned. He looked around to see they were in their room. He was home and she was with him! He jumped up and kissed her. She was shocked but kissed back.
"You were having a nightmare"
"I missed you"
Damian just hugged her tightly. He let go of her and looked around frantically.
"Where's Martha?!"
"In her room sleeping-"
Damian didn't let her finish as he ran into Martha's room and saw her sleeping in her bed. He ran over and reached out to hug her but she disappeared. He looked around frantically and the furniture in the bed room all melted with the door. The room began to spin and he sank to his knees.

"Martha?! Iris?! Come back! Please!"
Irey appeared in front of him. He reached out to touch her but she just disappeared then reappeared. He banged his head of the floor that he was kneeling on. Irey knelt down with him as he stared at the floor.
"Damian"
"I'm so sorry. It was my fault"
"We never blamed you. And it's not us who need to forgive you. It's yourself"
Damian met Irey's green eyes and his heart melted.
"I can't live without you. Both of you"
"But you can. You will. Be the hero Martha knew her daddy was. I love you, Damian"
Damian once again reached out to touch her but this time she was gone for good.
"I..love you too"
He just stayed there for a moment.
"Daddy?"
Damian looked up to see Martha. He just kept his head on the ground knowing he wouldn't be able to hold his baby girl ever again. Martha walked over and taped his shoulder. He stared at her in disbelief.
"I love you, daddy"
She hugged him and he hugged back.

Beep. Beep. Beep.
Damian opened his eyes to find himself in an ambulance crowded by paramedics.
"Mr Wayne is stable"
He was cured. He was ready to live his life. For Iris and Martha. For both of them.
