Chapter 18 – Complications.

Niall's POV

It's been a couple of months since Eleanor gave birth to Nova. I was in the play room with Cody and Hunter May when I heard Nova crying. I got up from the purple carpet and swiftly walked to the nursery. I picked her up being careful as I did “Hey sweetie” I cooed. She started to calm down as I rocked from side to side. She put her head on my shoulder and soon fell asleep.

She seemed to always calm down when ever I held her, the same thing happened only with Louis and Eleanor, she would freak out if anyone else held her. I walked into the play room with her in my arms, Cody smiled his toothy smile at me.

Louis and Eleanor were asleep, they've had a long week with Nova waking up and crying. I absolutely loved this girl, she was so small and cute and tiny. She had little specks of brown hair on top of her head. After a while Louis came in half asleep and I handed Nova to him.

Tyler was with Louis holding his hand “I'm taking Tyler to Hunter's football game, he wants to join, same with Seth.” I nodded, he put Nova in her crib before he left.

Hunter's POV

I was practicing for the game and waiting for my dad to come back with my chocolate milk, I heard my name and looked around. It was sickeningly familiar. I heard it again but this time closer, I turned and saw him. I backed away from him but he caught my arm.

“You've grown” His breath smelt like cigarettes and beer. “Come with me” he tried to pull me off the field.

“HAY” I looked to my right and saw uncle Louis. I got out of his grip and ran to Louis. Louis put me behind him with Tyler and Seth. My breath was fast and I couldn't keep my tears in. “Who the hell do you think you are?” Louis yelled. I was on the grass in a ball and felt someone lift me up. I panicked until I realised it was Amanda. My dad was with Louis trying to get rid of him.

“I'm his father, he is coming with me” He said. My dad looked at me then to him.

“He's my kid now, you never wanted anything to do with him besides hurt him, now leave before I loose control” Dad said. He looked at me and glared.

“I will get you back, no one will stop me from getting you back” he growled and walked off. I got out of Amanda's arms and ran to my Dad. He picked me up and I wrapped my arms and legs around him while I cried.

“Shhh... He's gone now” I heard him whisper in my ear.

Liam POV

I watched over Hunter's shoulder watching as his biological father walked away. After he calmed down, I thought it would be a good idea if he sat the game out, but Hunter being Hunter he said no. So here I was with Amanda, Louis, Tyler and Seth watching as Hunter was defending the goal.

“Come on Hunter!!!” Louis cheered as he saved the goal and the game was over. Hunter's team won.

He came up to me with a smile on his face and his fore head covered in sweat. “Did you see me? That was so much fun!” I smiled.

“Yeah, you were great” He jumped on my back as we walked back to the cars. Louis took Seth, Tyler in his car. Amanda went in her own car and I got into my car with Hunter. Once I started driving I looked through the review mirror to Hunter. “Wanna talk about what happened?” I asked. He looked up and shook his head.

“It doesn't matter” He muttered. He continued looking outside of the window. I sighed and continued with getting us home.

Once we got inside Hunter went to his room and didn't come back out until it was dinner, he then went back to his room.

When it was time for bed I went into Hunter's room, he was sitting on his window seat looking out into the night sky. I walked over and sat next to him “You okay?” He looked and me and nodded. “Time for bed, you have school in the morning” I thought it would be better not to push him into talking.

Scott's POV

I saw Liam exit Hunter's room. I walked up to Hunter's door and knocked on the oak wood door. I entered when I heard a faint 'come in' he sat up once he saw me “Hey” I smiled.

“Hi” He mumbled and looked down. I walked to his bad and sat on the edge.

“I heard what happened today, and then I found out what happened to you” I stated, he looked up at me and nodded “You know what I went through right” He again nodded “If you want to talk to someone who understands, just ask alright?” He nodded smiling a bit.

“Thanks Scott” He smiled. I then left and went to my own room.

The next day I met up with Jasper and Francis and walked to school “One of you needs to learn how to drive” Jasper said full of boredom.

“And what you can't?” I asked amused.

“No!” He whined. I chuckled at his idiosyncrasies.

Jasper has been my best friend since we were in year two, believe it or not, we had a similar story as Seth and Tyler. I thought that Jasper was weird and he thought I was weird, so we became best friends.

“Hey Scott” I looked to my right and saw Reece.

“Hi” I smiled, she did have annoying crush but she was nice and sweet. She had beautiful bleach blonde hair, bright blue eyes like crystals in the light. She always smelt like vanilla. She had amazing fashion, wearing the latest fashion. The only flaw she had was that she is obsessive when it comes to her crush with me. I didn't realise she was speaking until she was looking at me expectantly “I've got to go” I smiled and walked past her to my class.
