At the busy festival path where the stalls aligned, Shiraishi called out for her while running here and there to look for her. He asked festival goers if they had seen her but even they haven't seen her either. Shiraishi was starting to regret it all; if only he had not chose to turn his eyes away from her! If only he had accepted her! If he did, she wouldn't- 

"Shiraishi, what are you doing? Don't start looking like that!" Kenya tapped the back of his head with his palm, snapping Shiraishi out of self-blame. 

"...you're right, I have to find her before Coach finds out and kill us all." 

"We'll just tell him that you're the cause of it." 

"What?!" 

Zaizen and Chitose returned after they had searched the temple and the firework viewing area. Like Shiraishi and Kenya, they couldn't find Chinami either. They were getting very worried. 

"Buchou, now what?" Zaizen asked him, "Should we try calling for her again?" Zaizen asked, already tapping for her contact on his smartphone. 

"Ah, that is a good idea. We should call her every 10 minutes just in case she will pick up." Shiraishi suggested. 

Zaizen started to make the call. At that moment, the four of them were able to hear the ringing of her cell phone nearby. They all smiled and they ran closer to the source of the sound.

The sound that they thought would lead them to Chinami instead lead them to an angry mob, who surrounded someone in the center. Shiraishi and the four looked at what the angry mob was about and they saw a man that matched the wanted poster. Not only that, the surrounded man was holding onto a cell phone that belonged to Chinami. 

Shiraishi felt his whole world falling apart in an instant. He couldn't hear a single thing anymore because all he can hear was nothing but his own heartbeat. To him, he felt like he was swallowed up within the void of his regrets. Tears were welling up, his lower lip trembled, his breathing became labored, and his feelings exploded all at once in painful regrets. Shiraishi screamed his anguish and pain with shut eyes, his bandaged hand touched the side of his head as his uncontrollable feelings burst out all at once. 

"What the-" The wanted man was punched to the ground by a heartbroken Shiraishi, who assumed the man had already kidnapped Chinami, and sent her somewhere far from him. "What are you-" 

Shiraishi beaten a tooth out of the man in blind rage, hot tears flowed as his fist collided with the man of a bigger built than him. Chinami's cell phone was knocked to Zaizen's feet but Shiraishi was too busy to beat the kidnapper to care about anything else. He was held back by Chitose and Kenya; Shiraishi will end up committing murder so they had to stop him. 

"Why wasn't I with her?! If I was with her, she wouldn't have been taken away! I could have kept her safe!" 

"Shiraishi, calm down!" Kenya urged, pulling the captain back with his strength. 

 "I keep hurting Chinami again and again! Why did I...? I-I just wanted her to be happy! Why is it all I can do is make her unhappy?!"  

"You need to calm down!" Chitose shouted, "No one know this would happen!"

"I could have saved her!" 

"You crazy kid! I didn't even lay a hand on a girl yet! I just happened to find a cell phone missing!" The kidnapper was about to strike a hit at Shiraishi but the many men stopped him and decided to drag him to the police who had finally arrived.
