Zombies, Werewolves, and Vampires
These are three things I will never understand. Seriously. ZOMBIES, WEREWOLVES, and VAMPIRES?!?!
Vampires:
Freakish bloodsucking creatures.
Zombies:
People who don't get enough sleep or undead creatures that eat brains (Honestly I see no difference).
Werewolves:
Shape Shifter like beings that can only take the form of a wolf.
Search any of these three things and bajillions upon bajillions of stories will come up. I mean, WHY?!? I won't ever understand about these things are why they are so popular.
Seriously, I going to search Vampire, Zombie, and Werewolves in the wattpad search bar and I will tell you what comes up:
Vampires: 123k
Werewolves: 82.4k
Zombies: 44.2k
Barbie: 5.9k
Yes, I just threw barbie in there because. As long as we're searching scary things...
Maybe I should of thrown Justin Bieber in there?
Anyways, I'm getting off track. What does society and our culture see in these things? I mean, chances are, people won't write these things unless people read 'em. I'm not trying to diss these things, I just am trying to understand why these things are so attractive to readers... especially for romance novels.
Nothing says romance like blood sucking creates, brain eating beasts, and shape shifting carnivores. Heck, why not add the appaclopyse in there while we're at it. Mix these three things together and we have the perfect romance novel. Okay, not perfect... if we wanted perfect, we would of added 1 Direction (Don't believe me? Search 1D on the wattpad search bar and see what pops up...)
