For some reason my head hurt like hell. I tried to open my eyes but they felt so heavy. Finally I just groaned and did my best to move my body and fell off the couch right onto my sister who was sleeping soundlessly below me. She grunted.

"What the heck! Get off!" That was probably the loudest she'd ever yelled before. If I hadn't known any better I'd say it made the whole house rattle. Even after her shouted she pulled forth the effort of kicking me in the face. Must be all that piped up hate from having to see our parents, who were flying in from New York.

"Good grief, you two" Ayase sighed. "First thing in the morning and already your picking fights. Why can't you be more like Yuki here and actually get up in the morning?" Gesturing to the young boy at her table with the most adorable look on his face.

I ruffled against the blanket and stood being sure not to bother Kioko. "We aren't morning people"

She chuckled. "Yeah, you aren't wake people, either. If it had anything to do with actual work you both refuse. It's just sleep, sleep, sleep with you two"

"Hey, I do other things" Kioko spoke into the floor, much to tired to get up herself. "I was at a club meeting yesterday until six"

"You two" Ayase grumbled. "Are you going to see your parents?"

Both of us groaned. "Yasuma and I were going to go to the store" hoping to avoid meeting my parents unnecessarily. Yasuma cocked a brow, obviously unaware that we made those plans. "Wanna go? I'll get changed and we can leave"

He nodded. I walked down the hall into my room to find a pair of brown cargo pants and a plain colored shirt. I felt a little sticky from no bath, but felt far to lazy to jump in now. Instead I sprayed some stuff onto me so I'd smell better. Next I grabbed my wallet in case I really did buy something, and headed back out to meet with him.

It took probably ten extra minutes before Ayase was finished with her questions and Kioko was awake to take my place in the interrogation. We left my crappy apartment to travel down some crappy stairs into the street where there was no sidewalks. "The stores just around the corner. Do you want anything?" He shook his head. I noticed that his eyes were really distant, looking forward in search of something.

"Shiro... Could I borrow some clothes?" I looked back just in time to see him scrunch his nose up to his own smell. "And... Um... Spend the night again?"

"Sure. That's fine" I honestly didn't think Ayase would noticed or care, and I felt like this was the only thing I could do to help him. I didn't know what his uncle was doing, but I hoped I could at least keep him comfortable.

We got to the store and I just looked at stuff for a while. Yasuma managed to find the fishtanks they had in the back and stared at them for the longest time. When I ventured over to him he stopped looking at them and switched his attention to something else.

"They're Flame Angelfish" I said, pointing to a group of fish with orange red scales and five lines on its back. "And that's a Lionfish"

He looked back over at the tank, interested again in the colorful fish. "How do you know that?"

"They've been here for as long as I could remember, not the same fish, but the same kind of fish. My dad studies marine life so he told me all about them"

"Your dad?" I nodded. "So, why do you live with Ayase?"

"She's a family friend, from what I can gather. Our parents' job usually travels a lot so we grew up living with Ayase. Every once in a while our parents will come back, but it's getting kind of old. You don't exactly grow too fond of someone who keeps leaving you"
