Mikeala's POV
I stopped screaming and the guy slowly released me. I stared at him, warning him not to touch me again by the glare in my eyes.
"Come on," he said," my name is Ethan, by the way. What is yours, may I ask?"
"Mikeala." I whispered. Ethan nodded and then stepped out of the car, signaling that I should follow. I stepped onto the hard pavement and gasped as my legs went out from under me. Right before I hit the ground I was swooped up into someone's arms.
"Walk much?" Ethan laughed, setting me down. I glared at his as I felt my cheeks heat from embarrassment. Ethan stopped laughing amd motioned forward.
"Come on, slow poke."
I walked slowly, trying to regain feeling in my legs. Ethan patiently waited on me, ready to catch me should I fall. I gasped when I finally looked up from the ground. In front of me had to be the biggest house known to mankind. Not even that. If Jesus had a house, that would be his. Ethan caught the look on my face and smiled gently, taking my hand. He lead me into the house and I stared in shock. Everything was white. From the marbled pillars to the grande staircase. I stared in amazement and glanced at Ethan.
"Is this all yours?" I asked, barely above a whisper. Somehow, he heard me.
"Not really. It actually belongs to me and my brother, although I have more rights than him." Ethan said, gritting his teeth.
"Why is that?" I asked.
"Let's just say my brother isn't exactly as....humane, as I am."
I decided to change subjects. "Why am I here?" Ethan grimaced.
"I have a right to know." I whispered. Ethans frown softened and he smoothed my hair.
"I know you do. And I promise I will tell you. Just....not now."
Ethan's POV
I stared at her frightened face and couldn't help a feeling of warmth for her. I tried not to show any sadness in my eyes as I told her I couldn't tell her why she was here. Why I had brought her here. It wasn't my fault. It was a order. But she doesn't deserve this kind of life. She deserves so much more. More than this life offers.
Mikela's POV
I looked into ethan's pained eyes and knew he was hiding something. Was it to save me? Or hurt me in the long run? Suddenly he stiffened and turned towards the stairs.
"Hello, brother." he said politly.
