The rest of the ride I was silent. I was nervous about seeing my family. I have been missing for three days now. The cops are probably out searching for me. Everyone in school. My best friend Anna.

"What are we going to tell them?" I asked, suddenly panicking.

"Your parents?" Ethan asked, glancing at me. I nodded my head silently. Ethan turned his attention back to the road and scratched the top of his head thoughtfully.

"I'm not sure."

"We definently can't tell them the truth. And if I just show up with you, you could get in trouble. They would think you kidnapped me." I said.

"ya, your right." Ethan's brow burrowed in frustration.

"I have to go alone." I whispered.

"Wait, what? No that's not-"

"I can't have you get in trouble. Jail would be no good for you." I stated, cutting him off. I knew this was what I had to do, and Ethan did too.

"But when will I see you again?" Ethan asked sadly.

"we will figure that out later. You know where I live. Visit me at night. I will have to start school again, move here. Enroll in my grade. Stay." I begged.

"Ok." Ethan said, nodding his head. I stared in his eyes and knew that he would never leave me. He had just proven that.

"Remember, I will see you tonight. The police will probably question you. Tell them you went for a walk and got mugged. That you don't remember what happened." Ethan said.

"And that I woke up and didn't know where I was. I don't remember anything past that, just that I didn't know where I was. So I asked for directions home and walked til I got there."

"Good girl." Ethan said, kissing me on the forehead.

"It sounds cheesy." I laughed.

"It will be fine. They will see you as a scared innocent child who doesn't know what happened to her."

"Ok." I nodded my head. "I love you." I whispered.

"I love you too." Ethan replied. With a final kiss I got out of the truck and shut the door, watching as my love drove away.
