"I can't be." I whispered, searching Ethan's eyes. He nodded silently and bowed his head.
"I'm so sorry Mikeala. I tried to stop the venom but the process had already started."
"But why didn't I change when that one guy bit me the night you found me and..umm..caught me , to bring me here?" I asked. Ethan flinched.
"You remembered that?" I nodded. "It's hard to explain." Ethan objected.
"I have forever now." I said quietly. Ethan sighed but nodded his head.
"When you were bit the first time, I got that piece of junk off you just in time. He only injected a small amount of venom. It was easily removed."
"Whoa whoa whoa. Easily removed?" I cut in.
"I had to bite you, and suck the venom out. I almost killed you in the process. Your blood is as sweet as the finest wine. It sings to our kind."
"It did sing to your kind. Now I am your kind." I muttered.
"But your blood still does sing. You yourself are magical. My little, cold, pale, magical child." Ethan smiled. I slapped his arm.
"Shut up! I am not a child!" I growled.
"Ow." Ethan laughed." your stronger than me. Careful, love." I rolled my eyes.
"Right."
"Don't make me make you regret that." Ethan said playfully. I rolled my eyes again and smirked.
"I'm not afraid of you." I growled again, sticking my tongue out at him.
"Ok, now your making me make you regret what your making me do." Ethan said. He jumped off the bed and grabbed me by my arms. He pushed me into the bed and trapped me. I screamed and struggled to get up.
"Do you give in for your stupidity?" Ethan asked seriously.
"Never." I snarled.
"Alright then." Ethan smiled devilishly, picking me up and flinging me over his shoulder. I kicked and yelled trying to get out of his grasp but he just laughed.
"Put..me...DOWN!" I yelled.
"Are you sure?" Ethan asked.
"Yes!"
"Ok." Ethan replied, releasing me. I screamed as I fell face first towards the floor. At the last minute instincts made me twist catlike until I landed softly on my feet.
"Ha!" I yelled, jumping up and karate kicking Ethan in his leg. He dropped to the floor and screamed, holding his leg.
"Oh my gosh! Ethan! I am so sorry!" I said, kneeling down beside him.
"Just kidding!" Ethan laughed, grabbing me and flipping me over so he was straddling my waist.
"Jerk." I blushed. Ethan leaned down and gently kissed me on my lips.
"I get it from you." Ethan countered.
"Really now?" I giggled, reaching up to kiss him again.
