Chapter Six

I let out a blood curdling scream as I felt hands wrap around my shoulders.

"Mikeala? Mikeala! It's ok, wake up, it's just a dream." Ethan said, gently shaking me. I opened my eyes to see his angelic face right in front of mine.

"Ethan? Oh Ethan!" I said, starting to cry. I threw my arms over his neck and sunk my face into his shirt. "You left me, you left me, you left me." I cried over and over again.

"Shhh. It's ok, I'm here now, I'm here. " Ethan murmured, stroking my hair until I stopped crying.

"Do you want to talk about it?" he asked.

"Not right now." I answered, shivering from the coldness of his pale skin. Ethan quickly grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around me. Once I was completely covered up he wrapped his arms around me again.

"You left me." I whispered. "I fell, and you left me. And then something came after me. Oh Ethan, I was so scared!" I cried, hiding my face in his chest again.

"It's ok honey, nothing is ever going to hurt you. I waited so long for you, I will never leave you unless you tell me to. I promise." Ethan said, lifting my face up to his and kissing me softly on the lips. I let out a scream as a sharp rapping sounded on the door.

"come in." Ethan said sharply, wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling me into his arms. Kathrine opened the door and stuck her head in the room. She didn't look surprised to see me in Ethan's arms, if anything she seemed awed.

"Master Damon would like to offer you and Miss Mikeala to breakfast in his diner. He made a point to let me know to tell you that there will be conciquences if you shall not decide to arrive, with Mikeala." kathrine rolled her eyes and smiled.

"Thank you Kat. Tell my brother we will be there." Ethan said, nodding at kathrine that she was excused.

"Kat?" I asked.

"Kathrines my half sister." my eyes widened.

"so that means.."

"She's Damon's half sister to." Ethan finished.

"Then why?" I said, confused.

"My moms a human. She loved my father but did not approve of the things he did, so she left him. Kathrine has my mother and a human father, so she was born a human. My father was outraged by this, so he ordered me to bring Kat here. But Damon would never hurt her. She is his personal servant, but he would never hurt her. "

"Oh." I said. Ethan got up off the bed and grabbed my hand, pulling me to my feet.

"Come on little girl, we have a brunch to attend." Ethan said, twirling me around in his arms.
