"I love you." I murmured between kisses. Ethan suddenly stopped and stared at me curiously.
"How?"
"How what?" I asked, confused. I was aware of a burning sensation in my throat and my mouth was dry.
"How can you love me. After I did this to you. You would be home right now if it wasn't for me. I did this to you-"
"Stop." I said, cutting Ethan off. "You had no choice. It's not your fault. And I would never judge you for this. You can't protect me from everything, Ethan." Ethan sighed and I saw pain in his eyes. I quickly leaned up and kissed him.
"Can I get off the floor now?" I giggled.
"Oh..ya." Ethan said, climbing off me, looking distracted. I jumped to my feet and crouched behind him. Five, four, three, two, one! I thought before lunging at Ethan's back. A second before tackling him he spun around and grabbed me by my waist, throwing me against the stone wall. My head snapped back and hit the cement and I shrunk to the floor in pain.
"Mikeala? Are you ok? I am so sorry!" Ethan said, frantically picking me up off the floor. A trail of blood trickled down my face as I stared at Ethan.
"Ouch." I grumbled, whiping at the blood.
"I am so sorry babe! Its easy to forget that your not fully vampire yet."
"What are you talking about?" I asked.
"Your not a full vampire yet. Your human body hasn't fully died yet. It will in a couple hours though. Are you ok? Your bleeding." Ethan asked, worried.
"Oh this? This is nothing." I laughed."You should have seen me when I was eight. I was riding my bike down a dirt road and ran into a tree."
"And the tree won?" Ethan questioned.
"Maybe. My sister made fun of me, saying I looked like Hairy Potter with the jagged scar." I laughed quietly. Ethan pulled my bangs back and looked at the pinkish scare on my forehead. He traced it with him finger and then smiled lightly.
"You had a sister?" he asked.
"Still do. She was my twin. We did everything together. She, um, was gone, the night you came."
"What was her name?" Ethan said.
"Ashley. She had red hair and fiery blue eyes. My dad died when I was 13, so it was just me, mom, and Ash. Oh mom. I bet they are still looking for me." my eyes welled with tears and one crept down my face, mixing with the dried blood, leaving a trail of red behind.
