Chapter 12

I hear a knock on my door and I wake up to a major headache. I hiss in pain.
I check the time. Oh, I missed school. I didn't hear my alarm. I'm still in my work clothes. I run my hands through my hair. I go to my room and change into a spaghetti strap tank top and shorts to make me look a little okay. I hold my head.

I go to the door and open it. Jack.

"CECILIA!" He looks at me.

"What?" I say. I walk away from the door.

He walks in looking at me "You weren't at school?" I hear the door shut.

"Okay... " I sit on the couch.

"Why?"

"I was asleep. I just woke up."

"You okay?" He ask. Sitting by me.

"Headache." I mumble.

He stays quiet. We sit in silence for a couple minutes.

"Want to watch TV?"

"I don't care Jack."

He turns the TV on with the remote. I go to the kitchen and take ibuprofen. I sit back down.

"Are you on your period?" Jack mumbles.

"Yes. Now shut up."

"I'll be back." He jumps up and leaves.

Because when a girl is on her time of month she wants you to leave her.

I get up and go to the bathroom. I do what I need to do.

I leave the bathroom and lay back on my couch. I guess when your mean to someone they leave. He said he would be back though. I don't know if I'm mad about Alaia or not. I don't know my own feelings. I

After about thirty minutes Jack comes in with bags.

"I got you some things." He says.

I bring my feet up. He sits on the couch facing me.

"My tummy hurts." I mumble.

I feel him lift my shirt up to show my belly and rub it.

"I got you candy."

I smile "What kind?"

"I didn't know what kind that you know... girls like so I bought alot."

"Your tummy still hurt." He ask.

"Just keep rubbing."

I stare at him. I lay my feet on him.

For the next couple hours he kept making silly jokes to make me laugh. Like, hear about that kid napping, he woke up. Other pointless jokes likes that.

I ate alot of the candy he got me.

"Save me any." He ask.

"I thought it was all for me."

"I buy you candy and you eat it all. Wow."

I smile. Then offer him some M&M's. He takes some and feeds me one them and eats the rest he took.

"Jack..." I ask.

He looks at me. "Yes?"

"You and Alaia..."

"I told you. I have someone else in my heart."

I stay quiet.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you last night."
