This chapter will be switching points of view between Cecilia and Grey.
______________________________________
Grey p.o.v.I watch as my sister leaves for work. The whole house to myself. Why doesn't my sister get me a babysitter or something? I guess I should be glad to be home alone. She trust me.
I start looking through the mail. Bills... Bills... Rent... More bills. Gosh. I wish I could help my sister somehow. Even if I could she wouldn't accept my help. She usually doesn't accept help from others.
How does she handle all this? Maybe that's why she hasn't been able to cope with our parent being gone. She hasn't have time to actually think about it. Maybe her way of coping is distracting herself with other things. I go to my room. I grab my favorite movie from a shelf.
I come back out. I put it in the movie player and watch it. I lay across the couch. I end up falling asleep.
***
I wake up and the movies over. The t.v. went into power save and has now turned off.
I yawn. I check the time and notice it's 11:00. I immediately freak out. It's 11:00 and my sister isn't home yet. It doesn't take a hour to walk home.
I immediately think the worst. Yes... My mind has to think the worst. She has died. My sister, the only person I had left in this world... Is dead. I'm all alone. The walls start closing in. My head starts pounding. I crouch down to the ground holding my hands on my head. I feel my eyes water.
Soon I feel gentle hands wrap around me. Familiar hands. Mom... No, she has a new family. Dad... No he's in prison.
"I'm here, I'm here, it's okay?" I recognize that voice anywhere. She softly pets my head.
I cry my eyes out "SISTER!!! I thought you was dead!"
"I know, I'm sorry, it's okay. I'm not gonna die on you." She whispers.
I look up. She looks filthy.
"What happened?" I ask her
"Nothing." She says, calmly, "just a guy trying to kidnap, I had to run. Then I was lost because it wasn't my usual path so I had to find my way back home."
"That's nothing!!"
"Well, I guess it's something, but don't worry, I called someone to help me."
"Be careful at night" I hug her tighter "Its dangerous... What would I do without you? I'll have no one."
"I know, but on a high note. I don't have work tomorrow, so it'll just be me and you." she says picking me up.
She puts me down in my bed. I smile as I grab my stuffed animal. She plugs in the night light. Then leaves the door crack. She goes to her room. I assume she went to sleep, seeing as she doesn't come back out.
I start drawing. What does my sister plan to do with me tomorrow?
We have to go to the laundry place, so she can wash my clothes.
I end up falling asleep, losing myself in thought.
***
I wake up hearing my sister phone ring. I walk out to see it on the table, but she's no where to be found. I walk to her room and crack open the door. She's still asleep. I walk away. She needs some time to sleep. She's always busy.
I go to her phone and turn it on silence. Who's calling so early, it's only... Oh it's 12:00 p.m.
My sister comes out her room in black ripped skinny jeans. She's wearing a black spaghetti strap tank top, with a jacket.
