***Flashback. Second grade*** Brittany p.o.v.

"Cece!!! Cece!!!" I shouted.

I run to her as she walked to school with her mom.

We're both seven.

Cecilia turned and smiled "Hi Britt."

I look at Cecilia mom and saw the baby. Awe, Cecilia little brother Grey. He's sleeping.

"Hi Grey." I whisper.

Soon my mom comes up to us.

"Hello." She says to Cecilia and her mom.

"Good day." Cecilia mom says.

"Have a good day at school." My mom says.

I grab Cecilia's hand and run off with her. We go into school.

"I like your new dress" Cece says.

"Thank you. We should go shopping together sometime."

"Yeah totally."

Every day. Every moment. Every hour. Every second. I was with Cece. She was my best friend. We were literally inseperable. We even shared our food.

Im sitting with her on the ground the playground. Hoping I didn't get dirt on the back of my white dress. Cece's wearing jeans and blue butterfly shirt.
When it's time to go in. I tell Cecilia to check the back of my dress.

She starts laughing then shouts "You looked like you pooped yourself."

Now that made me mad, but she wiped it off. So I forgave her. Then I heard she spread a rumor that I pooped myself on the playground. When I went to the classroom everyone laughed and she just sat there. Confused, like she didnt do anything. The next day she told my most embarrassing secret to the whole school at the assembly.

She stood on stage. "I have a best friend. Her name is Brittany and she is very dear to me. We tell each other everything. I'm happy she's in my life. Like for example that one time she told me to not tell anyone that her parents actually hate her and sometimes she does things she's not supposed to do to get attention."

Now I know that doesn't seem bad. But I was 7 everything was literally embarrassing. And some of the things I did was embarrassing. She smiled.

"Like one time she thought she would pretend like a dog and eat out the trash."

I heard everyone say ew. I was so embarrassed. I ran out immediately. I told her that in trust. I saw her come up to me.

"Why'd you leave. And why are you crying?"

"Do you not realize what you just did?! You told the whole school something I told you in trust!"

"I did... Oh..." she pauses "I'm sorry, sometimes it just slips out and I don't even notice." She shrugs.

"Sorry?! I won't be able to ever show my face hear again! You're a disgrace I hate you and never want to talk to you again. Cecilia Yunion. From this day forward I will make your life is a living hell and make sure your never happy!"

I stormed away. Leaving the school and sitting in the car waiting for my parents to leave. They're talking to Cece parents.

They get in and we drive away. I'm definitely switching schools. Might even leave state.

***Flashback ended*** still Brittany.

"That's what she did. It was so embarrassing." I tell him.

"I can't believe she would do something like that."

"She does it alot. I haven't seen her do it recently, but she used to do it to alot of people. One of the reasons she didn't have friends... It always just slips out. She's bad at secrets."

"Would you forgive her now?"

I shrug. "Maybe.... Probably. It was second grade, so I might've. But she doesn't remember being friends with me or even doing it for that matter. So... Now I'm just hurt that she forgot everything."

"You made her life hell since second grade."

"Actually I left the state till Seventh grade. We met again in seventh grade."

"What happened?"

***Flashback. Seventh Grade.***

This is the school that Cece's going to. I walk in the doors and she's putting things in a locker. She's changed I don't know how. She's grown up, but there's a different vibe to her.

I walk up to her. "We meet again." I give her a small smile.

She looks at me. "Um... I'm sorry. Who are you?"

"You don't remember me?"

She shakes her head no. You've got to be kidding me.

"I was you best friend in second grade."

"I haven't had any friends since around fourth and fifth grade. You definitely weren't one of them."

"I was in second grade. Until you decided to... Ruin my life."

"Whatever I did. I'm sure I regret it. I don't even remember Elementary school that much..."

"You ruined my life. So I'll ruin yours."

I walked away and Cece looks unphased by my words.

***Present.***

"Wow..." Jack says.

"That's why I hate her so much. First she did something unforgivable and then she forgets. It's made me even more mad. So... I kind of just been mean to her ever since."

"You should talk to her."

"Jack... She doesnt even remember it. And besides any memories of me, are horrible."

Jack and me sit down on a bench.

"So that's the reason your horrible to her."

"And..."

"And?"

"I want to make sure she never forgets me again. Who forgets their bully?"

"Wow. Brittany. I don't think she deserves all this. I mean it was second grade. She has enough problems without you."

"Yeah, like your helping. You probably just added to her list of problems."

"Ha. I know. I'm horrible." He says  "But seriously. She doesn't need you doing this. I know she did a bad thing. But it was second grade. We're grown up now." Jack gets up.

"You're a good friend." I tell him.

"Yeah. I guess."

He walks away and I sit on the bench. Thinking. Maybe... Just maybe.
