Colton stood in the graveyard under the night sky as the dry leaves crunched beneath his feet. He stared at a gravestone as a tear ran down his cheek.
RIP
Ian Stapleton - 1989 - 2016
It had been 11 years since his death. 11 years since his life had completely been ripped apart. 11 years since he had learned how to grieve, how to cry, how to feel a pain worse than anything that he had ever experienced. He wished that his father hadn't left him. But now it was too late.

It's okay, a voice in his head assured him.

It's ok.

"I miss you," Colton whispered aloud.

I miss you too.

Large angelic wings sprouted from Colton's back and cradled him as he fell to his knees and cried silently. Memories of his father flooded his mind. His smile, his laugh, his eyes. Colton's mother always said he had his father's eyes. He missed his father. His father's sky blue eyes always comforted him. He would spend hours in his room staring at his father's picture. He would always see his own sea green eyes in his father's. There were so many things that he didn't know about him. So many different things that he would never know. There was one thing about his father's eyes in particular that he heard his mother and father talking about when he was little, but he was too little to understand. His mother refused to tell him, leaving him questioning everything he knew. It didn't matter though. All he needed to know was that Ian was his father. An amazing father. He would make sure his father was proud of him. He stood up and held back his tears. He was his father's son and he would make him proud. He wished he was still here. He picked up a small stone from the ground and through it at the grave in anger. He kicked at the dry brittle leaves until he got tired. He then sagged his head and walked away.

Author's Note

This book is my first published book. So don't hate on me if i make a mistake. I am still new to writing and stuff. Hope you enjoy it! Since Ian's dead, I had Colton here to continue the story. Don't worry I made sure the plot was epic. It is. Also thank you Mollinia for not only creating the first two books, but for editing everything too!~Nuke
