I all I begin to hear is the sound of our shoes colliding with the bare ground.
Marlene and I woke up early this morning for our annual morning run. Typically we run about 2-3 miles by the time we make it back around the compound.
We don't do it every day, maybe just 2-3 times per week. I've never had a problem about running all my life. I always loved it.
The powerful feeling of my feet colliding with the ground is so amazing. It makes me feel so alive. When I capture the perfect pace, I draw in a rhythm. My legs just carry me on and I feel unstoppable.
When I was younger, my dad used to take me on runs with him, because he was a excellent runner. My parents always said I must've gotten his strong legs.
"For sure," I grin. I dislike running in hot weather. It always makes me feel dehydrated and uncomfortable.
But this was perfect. I knew it would be a good run.

"Bea!" my mom warns "Get down here or your going to be late."
I quickly turn the shower faucet off with no disregard.
"Coming!" I holler, leaping out of the shower and into my room to get dressed.
After I slip my underwear on and hook my bra, I scan my closet shelves for something descent.
I grow impatient and just grab a black cropped sweatshirt and black ripped jeans.

~•~ Oh my goodness it's been nearly 16 months since I updated and I'm SOO sorry. I got inactive and have had a lot going on in my life so I'm sincerely sorry.
