"How about we look around?" Tina calls from the hallway while I am washing the dishes. "I really want to explore this damn town already."
"Yeah, just wait until I am done with these." I say and once I look up, I only see Tina's wavy blonde hair disappear from around the corner.
"I'll go change!" I hear her yell to me and I smile at her excitement.
The thing is, me and Tina only just moved here, to Grover beach, 2 days ago from Miami. And we didn't have time to head round town yet.
We've just had lunch. I finish washing the dishes and go to my room to also change. I decide to put on my black high wasted ripped shorts and a black lacy bralet crop top with spaghetti straps. And because I put a crop top on, my belly button piercing can be seen. I adjust my bracelets, which I never take off, and slip my feet in my all black Converse. Yeah, I have a lot of black clothes, because it is also my favorite color.
For my makeup, I put on foundation, powder, and I do a natural eye look. Next, I do a cat's eye, put on mascara and a dark red matte lipstick. I let my wavy dark brown hair flow past my shoulders and down to the middle of my back.
Once I am done with that, I put all my essentials in my black fringe bag and slung it over my shoulder.
"Tina, are you done?" I yell down the hallway once I get out of my room.
She hops out of her room, which is the last one down the hall. Tina has on a sleeveless floral blouse, which is tucked in her high wasted jean shorts. Her nude colored bag is in her hand and on her feet are nude colored flats with a cute bow on them. Her hair is in a perfect bun on top of her head and her makeup done naturally.
Tina and I are complete opposites. She loves to read, while I haven't read a book in 5 years. She is all about wearing light colored clothes, but when you open my closet, it's like a black hole; everything is black. Well ... almost everything. She is super nice to everyone and I am grumpy most of the time. And her skin doesn't have a single tattoo or piercing, but mine does.
But we've been best friends for about 15 years now and I don't want to lose her. Tina is the only one who really understands me.
"Let's go." We head out of the house.
