**LIAM**

It's like a dream I've had for quite some time now. But the difference from dreaming is that it's real. I am living my dream; what I have always wanted. And it cannot be more perfect.

Just a mere glimpse of my past, present, and most importantly, future, sends a stupid grin to appear across my face. It's the happiest I've ever been with my life. I wouldn't mess it up for the world.

It's them. We're all together and happy.

But more importantly; it's her. She is the one, who made my dream come true. Living my dream began with her. Just a glimpse of her makes me want to live forever.

Sure, there are bad days. But even on those days, I am happy. This isn't one of those days.

"Are you sure you don't want a sandwich, Liam?" Her soft voice fills the air.

"No, I am fine, Katie." I send a smile to my 8 year old step daughter, who is sitting next to me on a blanket on the sandy beach. "Thank you anyway."

"Liam! Katie! Look!" She calls from my left. I turn around and look at her. The long brunette hair flows in the light breeze as well as the loose white top on her perfect body. A smile adores her face as well as her brown eyes shine with pride because of our one year old baby girl Audrey is making her first steps in the golden sand. "Go to daddy." Darcy says and points to me. I fully turn to her and extend my arms to greet her little, and still clumsy body.

"Come on, Audrey." I encourage her as well as Katie does. Soon, my little daughter starts to take small steps, while smiling at me, her cheeks red and chubby. Darcy is standing next to her the entire time to make sure the little one is okay while making her first steps.

A couple more clumsy steps and Audrey falls right into my arms, me catching her and bringing her closer to me, giving her a big bear hug and a kiss on the cheek. My little girl finally walked. She made her first steps. All of us cheer from happiness as the smallest and youngest member of our family made a huge step in her life; literally made a step.

"I am going into the ocean, mom." Katie announces and gets up from the blanket. Her brunette hair flows behind her as she runs towards the light waves of the private beach.

"Be careful and stay close." Darcy yells and sits down next to me. She leans a bit to see her youngest daughter in my arms.

The smile it brings to her face makes me want to make sure it always stays there. But it's not always like that. She still has nightmares sometimes. They are not as frequent, but there are nights she wakes up sweating and crying. All I want is to make it stop for her but I can't do that. If I could, I would take those bad memories away from her in a heartbeat.

"Can you believe it that Audrey is one year old today?" She looks up to me with those brown eyes of hers as she says that.

"Barely."

The woman I love beside me sighs. "It'll all go by in a blur, though."

"What will?"

"Time."

"We'll have to make the best of it then, my love." She presses her soft rosy lips to mine and I fall in love with her all over again.

Yes, it got me. It got me, and I felt everything there is to feel in life. It got me for itself; a dangerous wave that is her.
