After the chat in the car, we stayed there for about half an hour more. We were just chilling there and goofing off. We took some selfies and I had to admit I had fun.
Liam just made me forget about Miami. It felt good not to worry for a change. Now we are currently fighting about who is going to pay for our meal. We went to a little restaurant and ate. And right now, I just want to punch Liam in the face.
"Can I please pay?" He asks once more.
"Can I punch you in the face?" I fire back at him.
"You're mean."
"You're annoying."
"You always have to have the last word, don't you?"
"Yeah." I cross my arms in front of my chest and glare at Liam across the table.
"I'm paying." He says sternly and I roll my eyes for the 10th time in the last minute.
"No."
"I am paying or I'm not going to teach you how to surf." I open my mouth to fire back an argument. But unfortunately, he got me there.
"That's blackmail." I stand up from my chair and point my index finger at him.
"What can you do, eh?" He smirks and I groan while rolling my eyes once more.
"Just pay for the damn food and shut up." Liam smiles and takes out his wallet. "I'm going to the bathroom." He nods and turns around to go pay.
I walk to the back of the restaurant and to the toilet. I quickly do my business and wash my hands afterwards. I get out of the bathroom.
"Hey." A voice says to my right and I look around. I see a guy about my age leaning against the wall and looking at me. "Yeah, you." He pushes himself off the wall and walks closer to me. I swallow a lump of nervousness. He is very tall and intimidating. "I've been watching you earlier." I scrunch up my face in disgust. "How about going on a date with me?"
I roll my eyes and groan. "Piss off." I mumble and walk away. But I'm being pulled back by the guy.
"Don't be rude."
"You're the one who's creepy. And I would appreciate it if you let me the fuck go." He smirks down at me.
"I-"
"Is there a problem here?" I cannot describe how glad I am that Liam just showed up. I look up at the guy with raised eyebrows and glance down at my hand, which is still in the guy's grip as to tell him to let me go.
"Not at all." The guy says sweetly and lets me go. He takes another glance at me and walks away.
"Fucker." I mutter to myself.
"What was that about?" Liam asks.
"Nothing, he was just being annoying." Liam nods and we make our way to Liam's car.
The rain has stopped for now, so we don't have to run to the car. We get in and just sit there, not knowing what to do.
"Can you take me home? Tina is probably flipping out." Liam nods and starts driving.
"I had a great time, by the way." He says during our drive.
"I did too, Liam." I smile and look out in front of me.
Before I know it, his car is in front of the house. I sigh and unfasten my seatbelt.
"Thank you for today." I say once I take my stuff from the back seat.
"That's not a problem." I nod and smile. I open the car door but stop when I remember something.
"Oh, I almost forgot ..." Liam furrows his eyebrows.
