||Jonny's POV||
The next day Skylinn and I headed out to Animal Kingdom bright and early. We decided we'd only stay for a couple hours, since we were going to Downtown Disney afterwards.
Our first ride was Expedition Everest, the one based off Mount Everest. It was so scary the first time I rode it in second grade, because not only do you go backwards on the way back, but there's also a spot just before that where it looks like the tracks are broken and you're going to fall off a cliff. It's still the best ride in the park, though.
I was selfishly grateful Denver wasn't there, only because I didn't have to be a third wheel. I didn't really mind him being there yesterday, or hanging out with them in general; but riding basically every ride by yourself gets a little boring after awhile. This time I had Skylinn all to myself.
After Expedition Everest, we only rode two rides that really stuck out to me: Kali River Rapids and TriceraTop Spin. I loved them both as a kid. We weren't able to ride as many things, because Wednesdays were busier and the park was crowded. But it was still fun.
"Do you want to eat downtown somewhere?" Skylinn asked as we left.
It was about noon, which was when I usually ate lunch, so I was pretty hungry. "Yeah, let's eat at one of those little shops they have."
"Well most of them are dessert places... But we could go to the Rainforest Cafe," she suggested.
"Wow, I haven't been there in ages!"
"Then let's go."
So we went to Rainforest Cafe and got a quick lunch before heading to Downtown Disney. There, we saw all kinds of Lego structures; some were even built underwater, like the green dragon!
They had one of Prince Phillip fighting Maleficent-in Lego form, of course-and one of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It probably took months, if not years, to build all those!
"Let's go to the Lego store real quick," Skylinn suggested, grabbing my hand. She pulled me into a building full of Legos and children. There were Lego statues of Woody and Buzz from Toy Story, and we got pictures with and of them. There was also one of Mike from Monsters Inc.
"This place gives me major feels," Skylinn said, pretending to wipe away tears.
"I know, right? It's like my childhood in a building," I agreed.
"I can't believe people can make all this stuff out of Legos!"
"Yeah, me neither. Like, how do they even get that underwater?"
"Right?!"
We walked through a few other shops, and then we went to a big toy store. There were all kinds of things there: customizable jewelry; clothes; books; paintings; toys; movies-you name it!
"OMG, look at this hoodie," Skylinn exclaimed, holding out a jacket to show me. It looked like Woody's outfit (waist-up, anyways).
"You should totally get that."
"I don't know...it costs a lot of money. Like $60."
"Yikes."
"Aw, but look! There's one of Buzz too!" She showed me another hoodie.
"Dude, we need those."
"I know...but we barely have any money left," she said with a sad sigh.
I frowned. Maybe we'd have to come back someday.
But then, as we were heading down the street, something green caught my eye. It was a 100-dollar bill! I couldn't believe someone had dropped it and left it-and that no one else had bothered to pick it up.
I knew it was right to return it to its owner...but how were we supposed to know who that was? Technically, it wasn't stealing...
One look at Skylinn and I knew she was thinking the same thing: we had to go back for the jackets.
So we trekked back to the toy store and bought the Woody and Buzz hoodies. I had $30 in my wallet, so I was able to cover the 20 left on the total.
Even though it was hot outside, we put our hoodies on and took Polaroid selfies in them.
"My feet hurt sooo bad," Skylinn whined, stopping to massage her knees.
"Here, get on my back."
"Aren't you tired, though?"
"I'll be fine."
She gave me a look like 'suit yourself' and jumped up and onto my back. "Ugh," I groaned, pretending like she was extremely heavy. "Someone could lay off the French fries."
"Hey, this was your idea," she insisted, ignoring the fake insult. I'd always liked that about her; she could take a joke. She didn't get offended when people called her fat-she already knew she wasn't!
"Maybe you should be the one carrying me."
"Then we'd both be on the ground."
"Are you calling me fat?" I said in mock-hurt.
"Yes. And also calling myself super tired and weak. So we're both losers."
"Alright, I can take that."
I rushed back to the car with her on my back, and almost collapsed when we finally made it there. "You should really drink more water," I teased, panting for breath.
"And you should work out more."
"Touché."

A/N: I actually really enjoyed writing this chapter bc I went to Disney World when I was 9, and we visited Animal and Magic Kingdom. And I've been to Downtown Disney two or three times. I've also seen the Buzz and Woody jackets, and wanted to get one, but like it says in the book, they're $60. Ain't nobody got time for that! Anyways, all the places in this chapter are real and very fun to visit, so if you ever get the chance, I highly recommend it![Photo creds to moi]
