Chapter 5 - So we meet again?

Rosana PoV;
I start to make my way to the dining hall and sit with my usual group.
Same old same old.
Uriah cracks jokes that no one laughs at except for Marlene.What the hell?

We don't do much but I feel a set of eyes on me the entire time.
The grey blue eyes belong to Eric.
He is probably plotting to kill me right now.
He hates me and to be honest I don't like him very much either.
I just keep my eyes on my food and play with it.

I go up to get a slice of cake.
I eat it quickly and I still feel quite tense after the incident earlier so I decide to blow off some steam.
I make my way to the training room and made sure it was empty.

I start at the targets and get a knife.I aim and throw with all my force.
I open my eyes to a knife bullseye on the target.
I do this several more times and then head onto the punching bag.

I uppercut it until I can't feel my knuckles.I look at my hands and they are purpley red and bleeding.
I hear a snigger and look around to see Eric

"Do you know anywhere else in this compound Pedrad?"
Ugh I hate the way he calls me that.
"Yes and please stop calling me Pedrad I have a name."I say.
"Okay,then do you know anywhere else in this compound Rosanna?"he says.
"I prefer Ro"I'm ticking him off right now and it is hilarious.

He looks really annoyed but then let's out a loose cocky laugh.
"Ok.Do you know anywhere else in this compound Ro?"he says and I laugh lightly,then I go back to punching.

"Yeah,infact I could even give someone a tour.May I remind you I have lived here longer than you."I say teasingly.
He smirks.

"I'll make a deal with you,I teach you how to do some cool kicks and prepare you for tomorrow and you show me some places in the compound I wouldn't have seen in my two years."

"Deal"I reply.
He shows me some cool new moves and we practice fights for an hour.

"Okay now your half of the deal."he says breathlessly.

I start walking and bring him to an entrance that leads to the rocks by the chasm.He laughs.
"This is the secret place that almost every member and initiate knows about."he says cockily.
He must get a shock when I start feeling around the wall and pull an invisible lever which opens a passage.A secret passage.

Eric says nothing because he is in awe.
We enter a room with a spiral staircase and start to climb it.
When we reach the top I open a doorway with a key that my father gave me before he passed.

He told me not to show it to people unless I was very close to them.
I never even brought my friends up here,let alone my brothers or mother.And now I'm just leaving Eric up here,I feel ashamed.

We walk out onto a balcony and it is absolutely beautiful.
I hadn't been here since my dad died,It felt different,but I felt safe.

Eric's PoV;

I watch her for along time before a chuckle escapes my mouth when she looks at her bloody knuckles.

She looks at me,startled but not scared.
I pipe up"Do you know anywhere else in this compound Pedrad?"

"Yes and please stop calling me Pedrad,I have a name"she replies.

"Okay then do you know anywhere else in this compound Rosana?"I say with a smirk.

"I prefer Ro"she says and now she is getting on my nerves.
I laugh at how she puts me on edge.
"Ok.Do you know anywhere else in this compound Ro?"

"Yeah.Infact I could even give someone a tour.May I remind you I have lived her longer than you."she says in a teasing tone.

"I'll make a deal with you,I show you how to do some cool kicks and prepare you tomorrow and you show me some places in the compound I wouldn't have seen in my two years"I say.

She probably thinks I'm bi polar but I don't care.

"Deal"she finally answers.

I show her some basic kicks and some advanced ones.
Since tomorrow is the fights I do a few matches and run over a few rules.
After about an hour I decide it is enough.

"Okay now your half of the deal"I say,trying to catch my breath.

She says nothing and starts walking and I follow her as she leads me down to the rocks by the chasm.

She thinks that I haven't seen this place?

I laugh
"this is the secret place almost every member and initiate knows about" I say but she just starts touching the wall.

I think that I should leave but just as I am about to a door opens in the wall and we walk through.
I am shocked we walk up some stairs and reach yet another door.
She unlocks it and looks like she is deeply thinking.
I wonder what about and then she pushes the door in.

We don't speak but there are no words to describe the beauty.

I get a tinge in my stomach as I think of home.I push away the feeling and stare into the horizon where Amity is slightly visible behind the wall.

She showed me this place,It seems important to her.

maybe she is the wrecking ball and maybe the wall I built was meant to crash to the ground.
