Chapter 16 - Dissapointment

Rosanna's PoV;
I wake up early this morning because I want to go eat breakfast with Zach.I go for a shower and can't help but wonder what my fear will be today.

After I leave the shower I get ready.I put on a black lacy crop top,denim shorts and a black leather jacket.I put on my black converse and a dainty gold bracelet with a silver crystal.

I have enough time so I put on some concealer and waterproof mascara.I put my hair in a bun with a braid going down my head.

I walk down to the hall and see Zach sitting at the edge with two plates.
I go up behind him putting my two hands over his eyes.
"Guess who?"I say.
"Grandma?"he says jokingly.
"Give grandma some sugar"I reply playfully.He turns around and kisses me on the lips.
"Hey beautiful"he says
"Hey handsome"I reply.
"I got you some food"he says referring to the piece of carrot cake across from him.I hate carrot cake but it was a nice thought.I thank him and start to eat it.We just talk about random things and then he says. "So how was Eric last night?"
"Oh you know just a drink or two"I lie.
He checks his watch and says "it's 7:30 you might want to get back to the dorms.They will call you in ten minutes.Mabye give your friends some extra time"
"Yeah good idea,See you at lunch?"I say and he says.
"No sorry I'm a bit busy,how bout dinner?"
"Yeah I'll see you then.Bye grandson!"I say as a joke and he laughs.
He kisses me and says "bye grandma and good luck with your fears!"

I grab muffins for the others on the way
Out and head to the dorms.I wake the others and they go in for a shower and get ready.We all sit on my bed eating our muffins,Making small talk,when Zeke comes for our wake up call.He is surprised when he sees us on the bed,up and ready.He wakes everyone else and we head to the waiting room.We sit down and I see Four and Tris approach us.They sit down and that's when I wonder where Eric is.I don't know.

Zeke comes to the door and calls my name.I walk through the door and sit down.As Zeke is about to inject me Eric walks through the exit,out of breath.

"Where were you?" Zeke asks.
"Overslept but I'm here now.And you don't have the right to speak to me like that,Pizza boy."I can't help but snigger.

"Hey!Whatever.Just set the computer up."Zeke says annoyed.
"No I did it yesterday.We switch today." Eric says.Zeke hands him the shot and goes to the computer.
Eric gently injects the shot into my neck and whispers just loud enough for me to hear.
"Goodluck Ro"

I smile and then my fear sets into place.

I open my eyes and I'm in a meadow.I look around and see people only in yellow and red.I grunt at the realisation that I am at amity.I hate amity!
I look around and Uriah walks up to me,In amity clothes.
"Don't disrespect the faction!"he says waving his finger in a circle.I laugh at him.
This isn't our faction.I laugh.
I then look down at my body and see that I am fully clothed in amity clothes.A long red dress and a yellow jumper.
I scream and close my eyes.I am not amity! I'm dauntless! Daunt-less!
I say to Uriah "your right,I'm sorry" and with that the scenery changes.

I am now in my favourite place from when I was a kid,My dads office.I look around and see my dad walk in the door,infuriated.
"Hey dad" I say and he stops and looks at me.
"Don't you 'hey dad' me.you know what you did!!"
"What did I do?" I ask.
"You are a disgrace to this family.....no wait this whole faction."
I start to cry. "What have I done?" I ask.
"You have slept with my enemy!you little slut.you have disappointed me!"
I really start to cry.I mumble a sorry and run out of the room.

I wake up in the seat,breathing heavily and tears running down my face.Eric is right here beside me.He is comforting me.Zeke is gone and we are alone.

"It's ok Ro,its ok!" Eric keeps saying over and over.I stand up with the help of Eric.
Once I get the power to speak again I ask,
"Where is Zeke?"
"He saw his dad and freaked.he walked out."Eric says calmly.

"Oh" I say and as if on queue Zeke enters through the back way.

"Are you ok Ro?" He says and pulls me into a hug.
"Yeah I'm fine,just a little shaky."
"I'll take her back to the dorm" Eric says and Zeke nods.
Eric opens the door and puts a hand on my back,guiding me out.We walk towards the dorm but we pass it.I look at Eric.

"You didn't really think I was brining you there.Did you?" I shake my head.We keep walking until we reach his apartment.We enter and Eric shuts the door.

Eric's PoV;

"You didn't really think I was brining you there did you?"I ask Ro as we pass the dorm.She shakes her head.We walk into my apartment and I close the door.

She sits on my couch and I decide to get us some lunch.I make my way down to the hall.
I walk in and up to the counter.I grab some salads and water.

On the way out I see Zach sitting on his own with a slice of dauntless cake and a slice across from him.Thats weird....

I make my way back up to the apartment and give Ro her salad.As I'm passing her a fork I ask "I know it's none of my business but were you meant to have lunch with Zach today?"

"No he's busy.why?" She asks.
"He is sitting in the hall and eating cake.With another slice of cake across from him"I explain.
"It's probably nothing," she says and I agree.

We sit down and eat our salads.Ro looks uneasy.
"What's up?" I say.
"It's the fears,I miss him"
I know exactly what she's talking about.Her dad.The word still haunts me to this day.Not as much as the word mother.

I see a tear fall down her cheek.I pull her into a hug.We sit down like this for a while before she heads back to the dorms to rest before dinner.

I need her.I want her.But I can't have her.She is the property of Zach,The golden boy from amity.Im glad she got someone like him.

Zach's PoV:
I am sitting down waiting for Scarlett to arrive.I have a slice of cake for her and for me.I see Eric walk by and I tense up.

He doesn't seem to notice anything.Thank god!
I see scarlet walk over with her beautiful ombré brown to blonde hair,and her chocolatey brown eyes.

"Hey zachey"she says.
"Hey scar!"I say.
We kiss because none of the initiates are here.
We sit and talk all lunch.Ha,Ro thought I was 'busy'.Yeah I am busy.Kissing my real girlfriend.
Oh how lucky Ro is,to be my 'girl',or at least that what she thinks!
