Poem #25: "Mama"

Dear mama, mom, mommy

When we were still in your tummy

I know that you were really happy

To have us see the world so big

You were exited to see our eyes

Filled with wonder because of the skies

Mama, my doctor, my nurse

You healed my wounds

And healed more worse

Wounds that were deep

That it cut you as well

Mom, my teacher, my school

I learned all the good values of life

Because of you

You taught me everything

From top to bottom

You taught me how to be a good daughter.

Mommy, my bestie, my hero

Honestly, superman is no match for you

You saved me when I was in deep sorrow

For it hurt you too, it hurt like an arrow

Mommy, you protected me

I wish I could do the same

Mama, mom, mommy

I love you so much

You held my hand for quite awhile

But you hold my heart forever

The kisses you give me

The songs that you sang me

The tickles that made me giggle

Were all given by you

I'll miss the soft kisses

I'll miss your sweet voice

I'll miss the tickles

Someday I'll miss those all

But for now

I'll receive your soft kisses

I'll listen to your soft voice

I'll giggle at your tickles

After all you are my mom.

A/N. For mothers everywhere... Mothers are the most strong and awesome human beings in the universe. For those who don't know what to give their mothers in Mother's Day. You can go on ahead and steal this poem and claim it your own! (Just kidding, that will never happen). Or maybe just tell your mother you thought of her when you read this.
