Poem #33: "A Dark Cloud"

8 1 1

Sadness, loneliness
Repression
Darkness, aggression
Depression

A dark cloud raining down
All these emotions
Thick as molasses
But minus the sweetness

As bitter as Cantaloupe
All the grief envelopes
Eats you alive
Like a virus stuck inside

Your brain and your mind
Getting messed up by the dark cloud
Reminiscing all your flaws
And calls you one fucking fraud

Comes up with ideas
Only shut down by disagreements
Locks you inside a cage full of dead pride
A heap of bodies that used to be

All the hopes that turned into dead dreams

This isn't you
This isn't me
This isn't who we are
This is not what we want to be

You will find the perfect remedy
And when you do
You'll live in perfect harmony...
