Poem #87: "Winter"

Anxiety comes into my mind
like this unexpected snow storm.
The coldness chills my bones
I'm always left with no warmth.
My blood freezes up,
My lips start to stutter
My eyes cannot shutter
And my mind starts to wander.

Depression comes along
Like a snowball down the hill
It starts really small
Until I'm forced to take a pill.
Suicide comes up as a viable option,
Especially when I'm dying from exhaustion

I start to succumb to the cheap thrills of anxiety.
Let the chills fill you in.
Think about purging. You'll lose your sobriety.
Let the ice freeze your blood, freeze your skin.
End it all now, to save the next kin.

It's better to go, then to leave them existing
Life is unfair and very exhausting.
Save the next kin from the coldness of winter
Don't let them shiver
Don't let them linger.
Save yourself pain.
Just pull the trigger.
