Poem #60: "Sleep"

[Verse 1]
Eye bags, paleness, and fatigue
Yawning, stretching, and incomplete
Nagging, crying, and please proceed
Naive, young, at age fifteen.

People say I look so pale
People think my heart is frail
Mommy said I need some sleep
Suicidal brain says I need to leap

[Chorus]
Gotta know who to listen to
Should I leap or should I sleep?
Should I eat or just deplete?
Should I listen to my mother dear?
Should I listen to my cold beat fear?
Should I stay or should I go?
You know, no one knows

[Bridge]
Gotta get some sense
Gotta reach my goal
Gotta be a success
Gotta have control!

[Verse 2]
I wanna runaway
Go away so far away
I wish my Peter Pan
Would take me to a Neverland

[Chorus]
Gotta know who to listen to
Should I leap or should I sleep?
Should I eat or just deplete?
Should I listen to my mother dear?
Should I listen to my cold beat fear?
Should I stay or should I go?
You know, no one knows.
