"Finally," Sandra sighed to herself, "peace and quiet, no baby, no boyfriend, no drama"
Picking up the rubbish around the living room, Sandra began to think of ways in which she should spend her day alone. A trip to a spa, go shopping, treat herself to lunch, go to meet her friends.
Pausing in her tidying up, Sandra blew stray strands of hair out of her face. She knew deep down she didn't really feel like leaving the house although interacting with people other than a one year old, her sign language students and her boyfriend of three years was bound to do her some good.
At the age of twenty-five, Sandra sometimes felt that her life had been put on pause when she had Cain. Not that she would ever declare out loud, or change Cain for anything in this world but she felt there was so much more left to do with her life rather than just sitting around watching Cbeebies all day. Maybe she was just using Cain as an excuse to just be lazy.
Dropping Cain's toys into their box then skipped up the steps to her her laptop, fleece blanket and Sanchez, her all time favourite beanbag and travelling companion.
No matter how many times friends and family had told her she was to old to still have a comfort they all knew deep siren there was no point trying to convince her otherwise, Sandra would always be a child at heart.
Snuggling into her blanket waiting for her laptop to boot up Sandra thought of all the places they, Cain and her, could travel together.
"No point in booking a ticket for Jase," she thought to herself, "with his alternate shift patterns it was hard to tell when he would get time off.
As gutted as she knew he would be to not be able to go, Sandra knew this was something she had to get out of her system before it consumed her. Bringing up a trustworthy travel site, she began to scroll through all the available dates, but the variety before her made it impossible to choose.
Picking up Sanchez pulling him flush against her chest an idea came to her and a smile crossed her lips.
"Fancy a trip back home?" She questioned the beanbag in her arms. Of course he didn't answer but Sandra still went ahead with her plan, looking up holidays to Costa Brava where she had brought Sanchez just over six years ago.
Putting the preparations in place Sandra snuggled deeper into her blanket, hugging Sanchez a little tighter due to the excitement and flicked on the T.v once she had put her laptop to rest on the floor.
Deciding to watch a true movie Sandra prepared for a long afternoon waiting for the time Jase and Cain walked through the door to tell them of her new adventure.
