"Roll up roll up read all about it! All the latest gossip and news on your doorstep" Adam belted out his call to passersby eyeing one in particular
"Your call outs are getting better" she called back as always "at least you have made some kind of improvement"
"Hey they aren't all that bad" he called back hoping she would make her way over
"Really?" she paused as if contemplating her next move deciding to just go with it Maddie made her way over to Adam" before responding, "Roll up roll up read all about it its 99p so stop being a cheap hoe and buy it" Maddie recited from memory.
Adam ducked his head in shame "Okay so maybe that one was a little harsh" he admitted.
"Not to mention you almost got kicked of the editing team" Maddie reminded him
"How was I to know people would cause such a fuss" Adam tried to defeind himself
"Hmm I wonder?"
"So where you off to?" over the passed few months Maddie and Adam had developed some type of 'friendship' between them. Every Friday afternoon Maddie would walk by making some kind of retort to Adam latest ploy to drum up interest in the Uni newspaper, finishing with him trying and failing to take Maddie out.
Some may have deemed there interactions tedious and many woul hav suggested Adam to give up while he still had some dignity
Maddie answered him as though reciting a well rehersed script. "Classes
"And after?"
"Nothing planned"
"So does that mean-"
Rolling her eyes Maddie turned to walk to class, knowing full well what Adam was about to ask, leaving him to belt out his most known line. "Roll up oll up read all about it, she shot me down again but I'm gonna keep trying" Adam smirked in her direction when she turned to give him a smile in response.
Making her way over to the steps that led up to the building, Maddie paused. Having a thought Maddie turned in the direction she had left Adam..
"Hey Adam!" she called out as he got ready to belt out his next call. He faced her wondering what had happened for her to shift from the script. He noticed her hesitate for a second before carrying on "I'll be ready at 7"
Shocked at the turn of events it took Adam a moment to process what Maddie had just said "Why the change of heart?"
"Sometimes it gets a bit boring followng the same old script"
