Four walls, eight corners.

That's all there was.

You would think they would make the room a little more appealing rather than just covering it in an off white almost creamy colour.

I thought these kind of things were meant to feel inviting, but then again I guess I was naive when it came to the world of interviews.

Twirling my ball point pen around in my hand for the umpteenth time I let my eyes wander to the door thinking when they were going to be bothered to collect me from this uninteresting room.

I figured I was the last to be interrogated as everyone else had systematically been called out over the hour.

Pulling nervously down on my skirt that seemed to ride up due to me fidgiting on my chair, I decided it would be best of I stood up and moved my legs else I knew I would all but loose me mind.

Strutting over to the open double windows, my heels the only noise to be heard for over the past 20 minutes I rested my head in my hand and stared out to the expanse of land before me.

Come to think of it the hotel was pretty much in the middle of the field. Away from the main road and surrounded by a huge field, some of which had been transformed into golfing grounds for the rich and wealthy.

Glancing down at my watch I calculated  I had been waiting for well over half an hour, making my total waiting time just over an hour and a half.

"This is ridiculous!" I muttered to myself, not that there was anyone to keep my thoughts from.

Almost stamping back to where I had sat myself just recently I snatched up my bag, along with other various files I had been told to bring along with me, heading for the door.

Annoyed I set my hand forward to yank open the door, when someone had the pleasure of doing it for me.

Shocked at the sudden presence of another being I stood stock still in my place.

Once I did get a grip of myslef a few moments later, I closed my mouth, realigning my skirt once again.

"Um Miss Nichols?" the PA asked similarly a little shocked at my determined attitude to leave.

I nodded in response

"Mr Baker will see you now"
