Liam had never been amused with his sister's fascination with street racing, but once again here he was standing at the front line as his sister tore down the stretch. As always he flinched every time she tore down the tarmac, call it twin ingenuity but it almost felt as though he was in the car with her. Carlie's obsession had begun during their early teen years.

At first it was just messing about in the garden racing Liam with his remote control monster trucks, then go karting, racing people at lights and now street racing. Although both twins were quite extrovert in their personalities, Carlie was most definitely the most extrovert of the two. While Liam might be the  one to call out in class, Carlie would be the one dance on the table while reciting her times tables to their year five school teacher.

Neither parent had minded their daughters zeal to be one of a kind and so life went on in the Johnson household. Now on a chilly Autumn afternoon, Liam stood by as he watched what he hoped would be his sister's final run for the night, not only was he arse on the verge of being an icicle, he was starting to get annoyed at the blonde who stood next to him, the constant gust on wind making her hair flap about a whip him in constantly in the face.

Hearing the roar of engines as they trailed back up the road Liam jogged over to where his sister had parked up, the obnoxious cheering fading behind him as he left the mass of the celebratory crowd at his rear.

Sat leaning over the steering wheel, Liam noticed the deflated appearance of Carlie slumped figure.

She hadn't won.

He could tell this by two reasons, one there was no one cheering around her car, and two she was not obnoxiously cheering about it.

Knocking on the window to get her attention, Carlie turned her head to the right to look out the window before reverting back to her original position over the wheel and pointing to the passenger door on the right.

Taking the hint, Liam jogged round and let himself in closing his eyes in satisfaction ans the arm interior engulfed him.

"By losing a battle you find a way to win the war"

Not lifting her head form the wheel Carlie responded "Is that supposed to make me feel better"

Liam shrugged

"Sorry,  I didn't  mean to snap" Carlie sighed "I can;t believe her got mt on the last stretch"

Rolling his eyes, and warming his hands by the heater Liam prepared his mind off of the proceeding rant

"That race was mine for the winning and he knows it, stupid jerk taking ll the glory, he and I both know he won by fluke, and look at him, the idiot has the nerve to prance around like he is the next thing since sliced bread, can't believe this!" she huffed giving the steering wheel a punch causing the horn to blare.

"Oh shoot!" Carlie sighed letting her body drop back in her seat

This time Liam decided to give her the time of day "What?"

As if it wasn't' bad enough that he stole me title now he has to come over her and talk to me" she answered referring o the approaching figures

"Lets get out of here" Liam suggested

"What and let him think e has got the best of me?"

Rubbing his hand over his face Liam begged "Just don't succumbed to him"

Carlie let out a breath winding down the window.

"Good race" Ryan smirked once her ears close enough to be heard

"That was complete chance and you know it" Carlie argued back ignoring her brother earlier advice

"Oh hit a nerve did I?"
