chapter twenty two

"Which do you pick?" I asked pointing around at the people around us. We were in the grill and he was looking around at everyone. He was extremely pale. If he doesn't hurry he will die. "Her.." he said pointing out a brunette. "Yummy choice." I said and scanned the room.

There was a bartender and ten or eleven other people. "Wait here." I said and stood up. I walked over to the guy who was sitting alone. I looked into his eyes.

"Lock the door. Make sure no one can leave. Then sit down and don't move or make a noise. Stop anyone who runs for the door." I compelled him. He nodded and stood up. I walked over to Kai who was watching me. "What did you do?" he asked curiously.

"Compelled him." I said simply as the guy locked the door. "Teach me how when I turn?" Kai asked. "Of course." I said agreeing. "Okay let's eat." I said and stood up. "Lady's and gentlemen! Attention please!" I shouted making all eyes land on me.

The bartender stopped cleaning glasses to look as well. My eyes turned red making a few of them gasp and stare. I could see a few getting ready to run. "My friend here needs to drink some blood to stay alive. Any volunteers?" I asked.

A girl dropped her pool stick and ran for the door. The man I compelled has a horrified look but can't react on his fear. He stood and shoved the women trying to escape to the floor. She sobbed out. Everyone was watching in shock. "Why did you do that? She's gonna kill us!" the women screamed.

"He can't help it. I've compelled him." I said amused at their reactions. "Impossible.." a man mumbled from his seat with two friends. The girl stood up and backed up to join her three friends behind the pool table. A man and woman were in the corner of the room. They were probably on a date. Cute.

"Now. Who's gonna go first?" I asked. "Please.." a man started. I cut him off. "Not you. Kai. Who do you want first?" I asked looking at Kai. He looked unsure. "Hey you asked for this. Now pick or die." I demanded.

He nodded and looked around. Two of the women were sobbing now. Everyone else frozen in fear. "Her.." he said eyes the girl who ran. I smirked. "Name?" I asked looking at her. "Please.." she sobbed.

"Name." I demanded walking to her. She backed up against the wall and sobbed louder. "M..Maddie.." she stuttered. "Please..take me instead..please!" a brunette girl begged to spare her friends life.

Kai looked torn...and really bad. He's dying. "Kai your pick." I said grabbing Maddie's arm and grabbing her friend as well. I began walking over to Kai and dragging them with me. "Don't fight." I compelled them both.

They were both trembling. I bit into the brunette and then into Maddie who both cried out but didn't fight me. "There you go." I said leaving both girls to him.

In one swift motion be grabbed the blonde one by the waist and pulled her body to his. He drank from her needly. By now all the girls were sobbing quietly. I could see Kai. His eyes turned red when he opened them and dropped the girl.

She was dead. The brunette sobbed loudly as he yanked her and roughly bit into her. He was animalistic. It was making me hungry myself. I scanned the room and paused at the couple in the corner and then glanced at the bartender.

I could hear his phone. He's trying to call for help. I vamp sped over to him and grabbed the phone. He had 9-1-. He was one number away from getting police killed. "Bad choice." I breathed shattering the phone with my bare hand.

I then grabbed his shoulders. He shouted for help but I sunk my fangs into him and began to drain him. He tasted like whiskey. I heard others screaming. I killed the guy and let him fall.

I turned to see Kai was approaching the couple and everyone else was dead. Wow he went through them so quick. "Kai. Slow down." I snapped wanting some too.

The couple were both holding each other as if their lives depended on it. They're cute. I walked over to them and past Kai who froze when I said his name.

"Forget this ever happened. You never met us. You had a nice night and went home." I compelled them. They began to walk out. I vamp sped to the guy I compelled before. "Let them out then you come back." I compelled. Be nodded and began moving.

"Why did you let them go?" he asked curiously. "Because they were cute. And you've had enough." I said amused at the situation. "You look better." I said noticing he wasn't so sick looking.

"Feel better too." he mumbled. He looked at me with the same murderous he held in the prison world. I narrowed my eyes at him. He was planning something.

He then lifted his hand and flung me into the wall hard. I felt bone shatter and screamed but quickly blacked out from the pain.
