I've been in my room thinking since I got away from Kai. "Lilly..are you okay?" Elena asked through the door. Should I tell her? "I'm fine. About to take a shower." I lied.

"Okay." she said and walked away. I sighed and got up. My phone began to vibrate and I glanced at it to see it was Kai. I declined the call.

I seriously need to think about how I feel about him. I know there's something there..but I don't want to act on those feelings. Not yet anyway. I need to talk to him. I pulled out my phone and text him. 'we need to talk. Your house an hour' and sent.

If I am willing to go on these feelings I need to know his. "Lilly Damon and I are going out! Alaric is here to see you though!" Elena shouted. "Okay!" I replied and opened the door to see Alaric already here.

But he wasn't alone. "Joe?" I asked. "Hey Lilly." Alaric said. I moved aside letting them both in. "What's up?" I asked. "Look I'm so sorry I'm doing this..but Joe asked me to." Alaric said. "Doing what?" I asked fully alerted.

"Don't move." He said staring into my eyes. I wanted to back away..but I cant move. Did he just compel me? "Why can't I move?" I asked. "Listen Lilly. This is for your own good. Feelings for my brother..it just isn't a smart idea. You'll thank me later." Joe said looking away from me as Alaric came into my view.

"Alaric?" I asked scared slightly. "You wont remember this happned when we leave." He said. I nodded staring back into his eyes. "Kai Parker is a guy. Regular. You have no special feelings for him. He's just a friend. That's all he will ever be." Alaric said. My eyes widened as I realized what he was doing.

"Please.." I whispered tearing up. "Who is Kai to you?" he asked. "A friend..nothing more." I said truthfully. I blinked and suddenly I was alone.

What was I doing? Oh yeah..I've got go tell Kai that I only see him as a friend.

I knocked on Kai's door. "Coming! Hang on! Just a sec!" I heard him call out. I smiled and the door opened. I saw a smiling Kai. "Hey.." I said walking in.

"Look about earlier..I'm so sorry." He said immediately as he shut the door behind me. "It's fine. I offered. You would have hurt someone innocent otherwise." I said honestly.

"But we do need to talk." I added. "Look I'll admit I want to be friends. I want to be there for you..but as friends." I said looking at him watching his reaction. His face dropped.

"Oh." was all he mumbled. He learned his throat. "You told me you turned off your feelings..because they were for me though?" he questioned. I nodded remembering that.

"I did. And now I know it was friendship." I said. He nodded but looked upset. "Well..I can wait for you. As a friend." He said. I nodded but held a sad face as he looked down.

He looked heart broken. "Wanna go with me to get blood bags? You'll need some." I asked changing the topic. He forced a small smile and nodded.

"Yeah. Lets go." He said nodding.

We walked out of the hospital with a duffle bag full of blood. My phone began to rang I handed the bag to Kai to answer it. "Hello?" I answered. "Hey Caroline and I were thinking tomorrow we should throw a party." Elena said. "For what?" I asked not wanting to say no.

"For what? For everyone being back. For everything being okay for once. For everything." she said excitedly. "Count me there." I said. I heard her laughing. "Kai too?" she asked. I glanced a him knowing he could what. He nodded. "Yup." I said smiling.

"Where even are you two?" she asked. "Blood shopping." I whispered. "Okay see you soon. Hurry back Caroline wants our help planning." she said and hung up.

Kai and I smiled as I put my phone away. Great. A party. That will be fun.
