The Art of A Fan

"Okay, and this means...?" Marinette placed the fan over her heart.

"That means, 'You've conquered my heart.' Isn't this cool?" Rose inquired, smiling brightly. Marinette nodded.

"It is. So, wait, I see this in movies," the blue haired girl placed the closed fan against her lips. "What does it mean?"

"Ah! That is..." The short haired blonde flipped through the maroon book and pointed on a page. " 'You may kiss me now.' Hey, we know the basics now! Maybe we can use it for secret communication!"

"Yeah! Thanks Rose!" Mari hugged Rose then went back to her seat, which was right behind Adrien Agreste. Marinette had a huge crush on him, but nobody but Alya 'knew'. Something else everyone didn't know was that Adrien was an expert in the art of the fan.

The end of class came and Adrien wanted to try something.

"Hey, Marinette?" She turned to him and jumped in surprise.

"Oh, H-hi Adrien!" She waved at him nervously.

"I wanted to ask a favor. Could you help me with something?" She nodded, smiling but internally screaming. Adrien took her hand and placed a fan in it. He took out his own and Marinette got confused.

"What's with the fan?" She looked down at the pretty floral pink fan in her hand and back at the blonde boy in front of him. Adrien had his baby blue fan over his heart, smirking.
'You've conquered my heart.'
Instantly, Marinette's brain click and her cheeks grew a deep red. But, she brushed it away, thinking it meant nothing.

Adrien had seen the blush and internally smirked. He glanced around and found Chloé glaring at them. He pretended to look at the pattern of his fan but looked at Marinette's blue eyes.
'We are being watched.'
She nodded and opened her fan. She hid her face and held the fan with her right hand, peeking behind it.
'Follow me.'
Then, she headed casually to one of the empty classrooms. A few moments later, Adrien followed.

Alya had been observing the pair curiously, as she didn't understand it at all. When they left, Rose had approached her with a book.

"Wanna know what they're doing?"

"Duh!" The girls snuck to the classroom, but did not enter. Rose opened the book and began explaining.

"They were communicating via the fans. It's called The Art of The Fan, and it was used during the time of Marie Antoinette." Alya nodded and they both observed.

Marinette placed her fan down on the teacher's desk.

"Adrien? What is it you need to talk about?" Said boy approached her and hugged her close. He whispered in her ear.

"I know who you are... My lady." Marinette froze. No one should know she was Ladybug, but Adrien just called her 'my lady'... As if he knew her.

"Chat?" She whispered back. Adrien released from the hug and smiled slyly at her. She felt the heat of blush come onto her face. Then, her mind went back to Dark Cupid. Her face was covered red as she remembered kissing Chat... Who turned out to be Adrien... Who was her major crush. Marinette couldn't find her voice, she had to say something. So, she grabbed her fan... And began to talk.

She held it closed on her right shoulder. 'Do not betray our secret.'

Adrien smirked and nodded. He opened the fan and began fanning himself a little with his right hand. 'I wish to dance.' Marinette nodded and the two wrapped their arms around the other, Marinette's around Adrien's neck and Adrien's around Marinette's waist. They swayed back and forth for what felt like forever, feeling the world fall away.

Finally, Marinette looked up at the blonde boy. She had a feeling of something good to happen. Adrien stared directly into her crystal blue eyes with his piercing green eyes. They leaned in slowly and...

The pair jumped back as they heard squealing from outside the classroom door. Adrien and Marinette peeked out the door's window and found Rose and Alya fangirling and squealing over the events that happened.

Sorry it's been a while, I was busy with Mother's Day and such. But I have updated! I'm really happy about this one, although I'm not happy about not including all of the signals from this art. It's really cool and I want to practice for myself!
