"So, Marinette, what are your parents' plans for Bastille Day? Or are you gonna just sit at home and watch fireworks?" Alya asked through the phone. She was on speaker, as Marinette was currently designing and cutting out patterns for a new outfit.

"Well, they said that I could invite my friends over. You wanna come or-"

"Dang it! Mari, I am so sorry, but I can't. My parents are going to dinner and leaving me with my brothers." The blue haired girl sighed and smiled a bit.

"It's fine. You have fun with that. Maybe I can invite Nino or maybe Rose."

"Or... You can ask Adrien." Alya heard coughing on the other side of the phone. "Girl, you okay?"

"Fine. Just... Lost my breath."

"Because of Adrien..." Marinette could almost see the smirk Alya was wearing.

"Well, I can't invite him. He's probably got some plans with Chloe or his dad."

"You'll never know until you- Hey, I gotta go. My angelic brothers are messing with the TV." Marinette heard the click of the phone and placed her phone in her pocket. As she went on cutting out fabric and pinning clothes to sew, she thought about calling him. I mean, worst thing is that he says no, right? Or Chloé picks up. She stopped and shuddered at the thought. She shook her head and sighed. The only way to know would be to call. She grabbed her phone and dialed the number...

Adrien was lying in bed, staring at the ceiling, when he caught the nasty smell of...

"Camembert. Plagg!" He sat up to find the black kwami trying to open his desk drawer, and getting close.

"What?! I'm hungry!"

"We have to save these for missions. And tonight, we have to go on patro-"
As he spoke, he phone began to ring. He picked up and answered, "Hello?"

"Uh... H-hi Adrien! Uh, shoot! Ugh, never mind!"

"Marinette?"

"Uh, yeah! I, uh, thought that, since I don't have plans for 4th of July, maybe if you're free we could go... Out? Maybe for like lunch? Oh, what am I saying, it's stupid." She hung up and Adrien pulled the phone from his ear. He had an idea.
------
4th of July came around and when Marinette came down the stairs to her door, she found her parents talking with...

Oh god. Adrien. She quickly fixed her hair and stumbled over.

"H-H-hi Adrien! What are doing you here? I mean, here doing you what? Huh?"

"Well, since we both didn't have plans for 4th of July, I thought maybe we could go out to lunch. Maybe catch a movie?" Marinette glimpsed at her parents, who were excited and gave her the thumbs up as if saying go with him.

"Uh, I mean, sure! Why not?" She gave an awkward smile and the two went off.

As the day went on, the two laughed and shared stories about themselves. They saw a movie and talked about it as well, and a whole bunch of stuff. Soon the sun was setting and they were near the Eiffel Tower.

"Huh, the fireworks should be starting soon." Marinette said. "Do you wanna sit in the grass and watch?"

"Hm?" Adrien looked confused, as usually he would watch the fireworks from his house and from far away. "Uh, sure."

They sat down on the grass and, as the explosions of red, white, and blue flew into the sky, Marinette looked to Adrien and smiled.

"I had a really great day." He looked to her and smiled.

"So did I." And as the last of the fireworks shot, they both stared back at them, Marinette leaning her head onto his shoulder.

Okay, so this is the story you voted for! Originally I thought about doing a villain, but... I'm lazy.

Anyhow, tell me what you thought! Was it good? Was it bad? Should I do the Beach Vacation next? Comment!
